Ally McDonald
Ally Leigh Ewing (née McDonald; born October 25, 1992) is an American professional golfer and plays on the LPGA Tour. McDonald was born in Tupelo, Mississippi and grew up in Fulton, Mississippi. She played college golf at Mississippi State University where she won five events. She also won the Mississippi State Amateur twice and the North and South Women's Amateur. She played on the winning U.S. teams in the 2013 Spirit International Amateur Golf Championship and the 2014 Curtis Cup. McDonald turned professional after graduating from college in 2015. She finished T-22 at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn a conditional LPGA Tour card for 2016. She played primarily on the Symetra Tour in 2016, finishing runner-up four times and finishing second on the money list. She has played full-time on the LPGA Tour since 2017. Tupelo () is a city in and the county seat of Lee County, Mississippi, United States. With an estimated population of 38,300, Tupelo is the sixth-largest city in Mississippi and is considered a commercial, industrial, and cultural hub of North Mississippi. Shadow Creek is an eighteen-hole golf course in North Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, owned by MGM Resorts International. History The course opened in 1989, was built on a site, at a reported cost of 60 million dollars. The Women's Open (originally known as the Women's British Open, and still widely referred to by that name outside the UK) is a major championship in women's professional golf. The Evian Championship, currently known for sponsorship reasons as The Amundi Evian Championship, is a women's professional golf tournament in France, played at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Évian-les-Bains. It was originally held in June, moved to July in 2003, and moved again to September in 2013. It returned to a July date in 2019. Founded in 1994 on the Ladies European Tour (LET) as the Evian Masters, it is one of two major championships on the LET. Not originally a major on the LPGA Tour, it became an LPGA co-sanctioned event in 2000, which included a significant increase in purse size. First held in 1955, it is one of five majors on the LPGA Tour. The Chevron Championship is a professional women's golf tournament. An event on the LPGA Tour, it is one of the tour's five major championships, and has traditionally been the first of the season since its elevation to major status in 1983. Lin Xiyu zh, 林希妤; born 25 February 1996), also known as Xi Yu Lin and by her English name Janet, is a Chinese professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour. Danielle Grace Kang (born October 20, 1992) is an American professional golfer currently playing on the LPGA Tour. As an amateur, she won the U.S. Women's Amateur twice, in 2010 and 2011. She won the 2017 KPMG Women's PGA Championship, an LPGA major. Early life, college and amateur career Kang was born on October 20, 1992 in San Francisco. She grew up in Southern California, and qualified for the U.S. Women's Open as a 14-year-old in 2007. She began high school at Oak Park High School and later transferred to Westlake High School early to begin college at Pepperdine University in Malibu in the spring of 2010.
