Alliance To Restore The Republic
The Alliance to Restore the Republic (Colloquialism, colloquial: Rebel Alliance; the Rebellion; the Alliance; or the Rebels) is a fictional Stateless nation, stateless interstellar coalition of republican dissidents, imperial Defection, defectors, revolutionary factions and anti-imperialism, anti-imperialist clandestine cell systems in a resistance movement against the imperialist Galactic Empire (Star Wars), Galactic Empire. The Alliance's goal is to restore the liberal governance of the previous Galactic Republic, which had been dissolved after its leader Palpatine seized absolute power and declared himself emperor. It is the main protagonist faction of the Star Wars original trilogy, original Star Wars trilogy, parallel to the mostly fallen Jedi, Jedi Order survived by Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, and later Luke Skywalker. Hoth
Hoth is an ice planet in the ''Star Wars'' fictional universe. It first appeared in the 1980 film ''The Empire Strikes Back'' and has also been a setting in ''Star Wars'' books and video games. Description Hoth is the sixth planet of a remote system of the same name. It is a small, terrestrial planet blanketed by snow and ice. The freezing climate, although habitable, is too cold for intelligent life to develop. Hoth is home to only a few species, including the towering, predatory wampa and the gray snow-lizards known as tauntauns. Both appear in ''The Empire Strikes Back''. Appearances Film In the 1980 film ''The Empire Strikes Back'', Hoth is the home of the Rebel Alliance's secret Echo Base, which is partially installed in natural caves formed by giant ice bubbles.
