''Alleviat'' is the second full-length album by Norwegian metal band Benea Reach. The album was released in Scandinavia on February 4, 2008, and on January 6, 2009 in the United States. The album was mixed at Antfarm Studios by Danish producer Tue Madsen. Benea Reach
Benea Reach was a Norwegian progressive metal band based in Oslo. The band was nominated for a Spellemannsprisen Award in the metal category, and at one time included noted guitarist Christer Espevoll of progressive metal band Extol. History Benea Reach was formed on 22 March 2003 by drummer Marco Storm and vocalist Ilkka Volume of Selfmindead fame. They were joined by Morten (bass guitar), Tor (guitar), Erik (guitar), and Anders (Digital Audio). This original incarnation of the band only lasted for a year and disbanded. During this time a live demo EP had been recorded. In 2004 the pair gathered four new members, most notably Christer Espevoll, formerly of Extol. The band recorded a demo of the song "Pandemonium", which was distributed among different record labels. Maria Solheim
Maria Solheim (born 19 January 1982 in Alsvåg, Øksnes, Vesterålen) is a Norwegian singer-songwriter. She was discovered at 15 years old, by a travelling musician, singing her own songs in a small fishing village. She has released 7 solo albums. Career Solheim signed her first record deal with the label Kirkelig Kulturverksted in 1999 at the age of 17, and her first album was released two years later. She frequently tours Norway and Germany. Her music was featured at the 'Grateful Sound' event in the anime adaptation of the manga series '' BECK''. In 2006 Solheim chose to withdraw from the limelight for a period, getting married and having a daughter. Then in 2009, she had a joint No. 1 hit alongside Hans Erik Dyvik Husby in the Norwegian Singles Chart with "Rom for alle". The song stayed at No. 1 for 3 weeks including the Christmas chart for 2009. It was released in the U.S. on 20 March 2007 through Candlelight Records. The album was nominated for the 35th annual Spellemannprisen in the Metal category. Christer Espevoll
Christer Espevoll (born October 18, 1977) is a Norwegian guitarist who has been active since 1993. He has performed with notable acts such as Extol and Benea Reach. Christer's brother is Peter Espevoll. Background Espevoll started his musical career with his cousin David Husvik and brother Peter Espevoll. Espevoll formed the band with Husvik and then hired on his brother, in the fall of 1993. Espevoll was 16 and his brother was 14 at the formation of the band. Alongside his cousin and brother, the band hired on Ole Børud and Eyestein Holm as Guitarist and Bassist. The band had major success, first starting with labels Solid State Records, moving up to Century Media Records. In 2004, both Espevoll and Børud left the band. After their departure from the band, Espevoll joined Benea Reach, while Børud focused on his solo music. The band released two albums before his departure in 2008.
