Allen K. Shin
Allen Kunho Shin is a Korean-American bishop of the Episcopal Church who is the current Suffragan Bishop of New York. Education and ministry Shin graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Vocal Performance from Eastern Michigan University in 1983 and with a Master of Divinity from General Theological Seminary in 1996. He also earned a Master of Sacred Theology from General in 2001. After studies at the General Theological Seminary, he was ordained to the diaconate on June 15, 1996, and to the priesthood on December 7, 1996. Between 1996 and 1999, he served as assistant officer of the Episcopal Asian American Ministry at the Episcopal Church Center in New York City. From 1996 to 2001, he also served as curate at the Church of Saint Mary the Virgin in New York City. In 2001 he moved to England to study for a Post-Graduate Research in Patristic Studies from the University of Oxford. All Saints, Margaret Street
All Saints, Margaret Street, is a Grade I listed Anglo-Catholic church in London. The church was designed by the architect William Butterfield and built between 1850 and 1859. It has been hailed as Butterfield's masterpiece and a pioneering building of the High Victorian Gothic style that would characterize British architecture from around 1850 to 1870. The church is situated on the north side of Margaret Street in Fitzrovia, near Oxford Street, within a small courtyard. Two other buildings face onto this courtyard: one is the vicarage and the other (formerly a choir school) now houses the parish room and flats for assistant priests. This shows the historical succession of the episcopate within this church. Key to chart The number references the sequence of consecration. Two capital letters before their number identify bishops consecrated for missionary work outside of the United States. "Diocese" refers to the diocese for which the individual was ordained. Note, this does not mean it was the only diocese that bishop presided over. For example, the Diocese of Delaware was under the supervision of the Diocese of Pennsylvania under William White.
