Allen Field
John "Sonny" Allen Field is a baseball venue in Morehead, Kentucky, United States. It is home to the Morehead State Eagles baseball team of the NCAA Division I Ohio Valley Conference. It is named for former Morehead State baseball coach John "Sonny" Allen. Opened in 1973, the venue has a capacity of 1,200 spectators. Naming The venue is named for John "Sonny" Allen, who coached the Morehead State baseball program in 1954–1959, 1966, and 1969–1975, a total of 14 seasons. Allen's career record was 226–137, and the program won conference championships in 1956, 1969, and 1973 under him. Willie Blair
William Allen Blair (born December 18, 1965) is an American former right-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball and current pitching coach for the West Michigan Whitecaps. Playing career Blair played baseball for Morehead State University before the Toronto Blue Jays drafted him in the 11th round of the 1986 amateur draft. He spent four seasons in the Blue Jays minor league system, playing for the St. Catharines Blue Jays (1986), the Dunedin Blue Jays (1987–1988), the Knoxville Smokies (1988), and the Syracuse Chiefs (1989). Blair made his major league debut with the Blue Jays on April 11, 1990, and spent the season with the major league squad. He was traded in the offseason to the Cleveland Indians for Alex Sanchez, and played in 11 games for the Indians that year. Jayne Stadium
Jayne Stadium is a 10,000-seat multi-purpose stadium in Morehead, Kentucky, United States. It opened in 1964 and is home to the Morehead State University Eagles football team. Surrounding Jacobs Field, the stadium hosts press and VIP facilities, box seats and home and visiting stands. The stadium, opened in 1964, also has locker room facilities, MSU's primary sports medicine facilities and the football offices. The football offices have been remodeled and upgraded, and the football locker room on the north end of the facility was recently renovated and now features hardwood lockers for all players and an upgraded equipment room/storage area.
