Allegations Of Genocide In The 2023 Hamas Attack On Israel
Allegations have been made that the 2023 Hamas-led attack on Israel constituted a genocidal massacre against Israelis. In the course of the assault, Palestinian militants attacked communities, a music festival, and military bases in the region of southern Israel known as the Gaza envelope. The attack, which has been described as a "rampage of atrocities", resulted in the deaths of 1,163 people, two thirds of whom were civilians. Be'eri Massacre
On 7 October 2023, in the opening attacks of the 2023 Hamas-led attack on Israel, Hamas militants carried out a massacre at Be'eri, an Israeli kibbutz near the Gaza Strip. Around 70 Hamas militants of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, al-Qassam Brigades, Nuseirat Battalion, along with Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, DFLP militants had attacked the kibbutz and at least 130 people were killed in the attack, including women (such as peace activist Vivian Silver), children, toddlers, and one infant, claiming the lives of 10% of the farming community's residents. Dozens of homes were also burned down.
