Allan Scott (May 23, 1906 – April 13, 1995) was a screenwriter who was nominated for an Academy Award for ''So Proudly We Hail!''. Career He co-wrote the screenplays for a number of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers films: ''Top Hat'' (1935), ''Follow the Fleet'' (1936), ''Swing Time (film), Swing Time'' (1936), ''Shall We Dance (1937 film), Shall We Dance'' (1937), and ''Carefree (film), Carefree'' (1938), as well as ''Roberta (1935 film), Roberta'' (1935), in which they played supporting roles. Arlington is a neighborhood in Kearny in the western part of Hudson County, New Jersey, United States. Kearny Riverbank Park runs along the neighborhood's Passaic River shore. Arlington Memorial Park cemetery is located on Schuyler Avenue. The community was the location of a railroad station on New Jersey Transit, just east of the WR Draw over the river, which was discontinued with the opening of the Montclair Connection and Secaucus Junction. The Bergen County town of North Arlington takes its name in relation to this community, which it borders.
