The Allamoore Independent School District was a public school district based in the community of Allamoore, Texas, United States. The approximately district was known as the Allamoore Consolidated Independent District prior to 1992. History The one room schoolhouse was built circa 1910. In previous eras the school had two teachers and in later eras there was only one teacher who also did all administrative functions. Enrollment was determined by a fluctuating number of employees in area ranches. Divide Independent School District is a public school district based in the community of Mountain Home in western Kerr County, Texas, United States. In terms of students served, Divide ISD is the smallest district in Texas; the 2015 "graduation/promotion ceremony" featured a mere 11 students and the district had as few as eight students at the beginning of the 2014–2015 school year. Allamoore, Texas
Allamoore (sometimes spelled Allamore) is a small, unincorporated community in Hudspeth County, Texas, United States. It is located just north of Interstate 10, approximately southeast of Sierra Blanca and west of Van Horn. First settled in the 1880s, a post office was established in the area under the name Acme in 1884. It was closed two years later. A new post office opened in 1888 under the name Allamoore after the first postmistress, Alla R. Moore. It closed in 1895 only to open two years later under the same name. Throughout its history, Allamoore has remained a sparsely populated ranching community. The population stood at 10 in 1914 and rose to 25 by the mid-1920s. Just prior to the Great Depression, that figure grew to 75. In the mid-1930s, the population was estimated at 25. Seventy pupils from the surrounding ranches attended Allamoore School.
