''Alladin and the Wonderful Lamp'', also known by its Telugu-language title ''Allauddin Adhbhuta Deepam'', its Tamil-language title ''Allavudeenum Arputha Vilakkum'', and its Hindi-language title ''Alladdin Ka Chirag'', is a 1957 Indian fantasy film produced by M. L. Pathy on Jai Sakthi Pictures banner and directed by T. R. Raghunath. The film stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Anjali Devi. It is an adaptation of the story of Aladdin from '' One Thousand and One Nights'' and a trilingual, filmed simultaneously in three different languages. ''Allavudeenum Arputha Vilakkum'' was released on 29 March 1957, and ''Allavuddin Adbhuta Deepam'' followed on 13 April. ''Alladin Ka Chirag'' too, came in the same year. Plot Jaffer, a savage warlock, longs to conquer the world. Muktha Srinivasan (1929 – 2018) was an Indian film director and producer. Personal life V. Srinivasan was born in Malapuram on 31 October 1929 in a Tamil Brahmin family. His parents were Venkatachariar and Chellamma. He followed all Brahmin rituals sincerely throughout his life. He remained a vegetarian. His elder brother is Muktha Ramaswamy and his sister is Revathi. He married Prema in 1951. He has three children Muktha S. Sundar, also a director, Mukhta Ravi and Maya.Muktha srinivasan is the founder of Muktha films. His elder grandson Suseendran who acted in movies like Kashmora and Echarikkai is now the Managing director of Muktha films. Pillavalu Gajapathy Krishnaveni (3 November 1935 – 16 August 2004), more famously known as Jikki, was an Indian playback singer from Andhra Pradesh. She sang around 10,000 songs in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and Sinhalese languages. Early life Jikki was born in Chennai on 3 November 1935. Her parents Gajapathi Naidu and Rajakanthamma, a Telugu family, had moved from Chandragiri, near Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh to Chennai for their livelihood. The South Indian film industry produced colour films since the 40s, especially the Kollywood. The earliest colour films in India were also produced in South India. Tamil cinema First colour film Seetha Kalyanam is known to be Tamil Cinema's first colour film. The film was released in year 1934.
