All The Light Above It Too
''All the Light Above It Too'' is the seventh studio album by American musician Jack Johnson. The album was released on September 8, 2017. The album's lead single, titled " My Mind Is for Sale", was released on July 14, 2017. It is the first release by Johnson since the 2013 album '' From Here to Now to You''. Composition Brushfire Records originally made a deal with Johnson to release a new album every two years, which set the release date for November 2015. But Jack did not want to write a song when he did not feel like it; he wanted to write it when it felt natural. The first song written from the album was " Fragments." The song was written during the filming of the movie ''The Smog of the Sea''. It first started off as a small jam session between the crew, and is featured in the movie. As Jack talked about in a "Billboard" Podcast, he didn't know that he was starting the creation of an album with this song. It was not until he wrote "Subplots" (Which was also written during ...

The 2016 United States presidential election was the 58th quadrennial presidential election, held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. The Republican ticket of businessman Donald Trump and Indiana governor Mike Pence defeated the Democratic ticket of former secretary of state and First Lady of the United States Hillary Clinton and the United States senator from Virginia Tim Kaine, in what was considered a large upset. Trump took office as the 45th president, and Pence as the 48th vice president, on January 20, 2017. It was the fifth and most recent presidential election in which the winning candidate lost the popular vote. It was also the sixth presidential election, and the first since 1944, in which both major party candidates were registered in the same home state. Guild Guitar Company
The Guild Guitar Company is a United States-based guitar manufacturer founded in 1952 by Alfred Dronge, a guitarist and music-store owner, and George Mann, a former executive with the Epiphone Guitar Company. The brand name currently exists as a brand under Córdoba Music Group. Origin The first Guild workshop was located in Manhattan, New York, where Dronge (who soon took over full ownership) focused on electric and acoustic archtop jazz guitars. Much of the initial workforce consisted of former Epiphone workers who lost their jobs following their 1951 strike and the subsequent relocation of the company from Queens to Philadelphia. Rapid expansion forced the company to move to much larger quarters, on Newark St. in Hoboken, New Jersey, in the old R. Neumann Leathers building. The advent of the folk music craze in the early 1960s had shifted the company into production of an important line of acoustic folk and blues guitars, including a dreadnought series (D-40, D-50 and, ...

Cassette Recorder
A cassette deck is a type of tape machine for playing and recording audio cassettes that does not have a built-in power amplifier or speakers, and serves primarily as a transport. It can be a part of an automotive entertainment system, a part of a portable mini system or a part of a home component system. In the latter case it is also called a component cassette deck or just a component deck. A "tape recorder" is a more generic term to identify a device that usually has a self-contained power amplifier and either has a built-in speaker or comes packaged with one. History Origins The first consumer tape recorder to employ a tape reel permanently housed in a small removable cartridge was the RCA tape cartridge, which appeared in 1958 as a predecessor to the cassette format. At that time, reel to reel recorders and players were commonly used by enthusiasts, but required large individual reels and tapes which had to be threaded by hand, making them less-accessible to the casu ...

Reality Tv
Reality television is a genre of television programming that documents purportedly unscripted real-life situations, often starring unfamiliar people rather than professional actors. Reality television emerged as a distinct genre in the early 1990s with shows such as '' The Real World'', then achieved prominence in the early 2000s with the success of the series '' Survivor'', '' Idols'', and '' Big Brother'', all of which became global franchises. Reality television shows tend to be interspersed with "confessionals", short interview segments in which cast members reflect on or provide context for the events being depicted on-screen; this is most commonly seen in American reality television. Competition-based reality shows typically feature gradual elimination of participants, either by a panel of judges, by the viewership of the show, or by the contestants themselves. Documentaries, television news, sports television, talk shows, and traditional game shows are generally not clas ...

Mellow Gold
''Mellow Gold'' is the third studio album by American musician Beck, released on March 1, 1994 by DGC Records. Critics noted the album's hybrid of various styles including rock, hip hop, folk, blues, psychedelia, and country, as well as ironic, witty lyrics. Its decidedly anti-commercial attitude led to it becoming an unexpected commercial success, peaking at number thirteen in the United States and eventually being certified platinum. As of July 2008, ''Mellow Gold'' has sold over 1.2 million copies in the United States. Background In a 1994 interview with ''Rolling Stone'', Beck said of the album: The whole concept of ''Mellow Gold'' is that it's like a satanic K-tel record that's been found in a trash dumpster, quite matter-of-factly. A few people have molested it and slept with it and half-swallowed it before spitting it out. Someone played poker with it, someone tried to smoke it. Then the record was taken to Morocco and covered with hummus and tabouli. Then it was flown ...

Good People (song)
"Good People" is a protest song written and performed by Jack Johnson. It is the fourth track on the album ''In Between Dreams'' and was released as a single on May 9, 2005. The song is similar to the song "Cookie Jar" from Johnson's previous album '' On and On'', which also draws attention to the issue, but with a more explicit protest and melancholic sound. Commercial performance "Good People" peaked at number one on the ''Billboard'' Adult Alternative Songs chart in the United States.
