''All the Beauty in This Whole Life'' is the sixth studio album by Brother Ali. It was released on Rhymesayers Entertainment on May 5, 2017. It is Brother Ali's first album in five years. Entirely produced by Ant, it features guest appearances from Amir Sulaiman, Dem Atlas, Sa-Roc, and Idris Phillips. It includes "Pray for Me", a track inspired by Brother Ali's experience with albinism Albinism is the congenital absence of melanin in an animal or plant resulting in white hair, feathers, scales and skin and pink or blue eyes. Ali Douglas Newman (born Jason Douglas Newman, July 30, 1977), better known by his stage name Brother Ali, is an American rapper, community activist, and member of the Rhymesayers Entertainment hip hop collective. He has released seven albums, four EPs, and a number of singles and collaborations. Early life Ali was born in Madison, Wisconsin. He has albinism, a disorder characterized by the complete or partial absence of pigment in the skin, hair, and eyes. He moved with his family to Michigan for a few years and then settled in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1992. He attended Robbinsdale Cooper High School in New Hope, Minnesota. Ali is Caucasian (white American), but he has spoken of feeling more accepted by Black classmates than white ones: "It's not like black kids didn't make fun of me, but it was different. ''City Pages'' was an alternative newspaper serving the Minneapolis–St. Paul metropolitan area. It featured news, film, theatre and restaurant reviews and music criticism, available free every Wednesday. Albinism
Albinism is the congenital absence of melanin in an animal or plant resulting in white hair, feathers, scales and skin and pink or blue eyes. Individuals with the condition are referred to as albino. Idris Phillips (January 1958 – July 16, 2022) was an American musician, composer, songwriter, and music producer based in Nashville. In recent years, he was best recognized for his work as a pianist, guitarist and producer for Canadian singer-songwriter Dawud Wharnsby, co-writing the songs "War", "Eight Years Old", and "Let It Go" on Wharnsby's 2007 album, ''Out Seeing The Fields''. The two artists toured together regularly as a duo worldwide and were at work on several collaborative recording projects. Assata Perkins (born December 28, 1981), known professionally as Sa-Roc (), is an American rapper. In 2016, she became the second female rapper to sign with the Rhymesayers label. Early life Sa-Roc was born in Southeast, Washington, D.C. on December 28, 1981. As a teenager, she was a student at City of Peace, an organization devoted to encouraging students to become active in their community through theater. She has been open about her history of self-harm as an adolescent, later referencing this period in her song "Forever". She attended the Nation House school and then the College of Arts and Sciences at Howard University where she studied biology.
