''All Woman'' is the only studio album by Hurricane G Gloria Rodríguez (1970 – November 6, 2022), better known by her stage name Hurricane G, was an American rapper of Puerto Rican descent. Her 1997 single release "Somebody Else" charted at #10 by Billboard Magazine on Hot Rap Singles, and at # ..., released on September 16, 1997, through Jellybean Benitez's H.O.L.A. Recordings. The album was poorly promoted and failed to reach the ''Billboard'' album charts, however the album's lead single "Somebody Else" (which used a sampled of The Jones Girls 1979 hit "You Gonna Make Me Love Somebody Else") became a top 10 hit on the Hot Rap Singles chart. Biography Rodríguez was born in Brooklyn, New York City in 1970. She was the Hit Squad's first female member, and made guest appearances on albums by Keith Murray, Redman, Xzibit, Delinquent Habits, Funkdoobiest, the Cocoa Brovaz, and others. She also appeared on Puff Daddy's track "P.E. 2000". Her much-delayed debut album, '' All Woman'', was released in 1997. Hurricane G died from lung cancer on November 6, 2022, at the age of 52. She is survived by her daughter, Lexus. John Benitez (born November 7, 1957), also known as Jellybean, is an American musician, songwriter, DJ, remixer, and music producer. He has produced and remixed artists such as Madonna, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, and the Pointer Sisters. He was later the executive producer of Studio 54 Radio. In December 2016, ''Billboard magazine'' ranked him as the 99th most successful dance artist of all-time. The Jones Girls
The Jones Girls were an American R&B vocal trio of sisters from Detroit, Michigan, United States. Consisting of Brenda, Shirley and Valorie Jones, the Jones Girls first signed and recorded for GM Records in 1970. The trio were best known for their singles during the late–1970s through the 1980s; most notably 1979's "You Gonna Make Me Love Somebody Else". After a six–year tenure with GM, they then recorded for Philadelphia International Records with Gamble & Huff. Das EFX is an American hip hop duo. It consists of emcees Dray (also known as Krazy Drayz, born Andre Weston, September 9, 1970) and Skoob (also known as Books and Boogie Bang, born William "Willie" Hines, November 27, 1970). They named themselves "DAS" standing for "Dray and Skoob" and "EFX" meaning "effects". They rose to popularity in the early 1990s due to the duo's stream of consciousness lyrical delivery, which became one of the most influential lyrical styles in rap music at the time; as well as their affiliation with EPMD's Hit Squad. Their style combined intricate rhymes, sometimes mixed with made up words (especially ending with "-iggedy"), delivered with a fast-paced flow and numerous pop culture and hip hop culture references.
