''All Night Long'' is a British sitcom starring Keith Barron that aired in 1994. It was written by Dick Fiddy and Mark Wallington, and was produced and directed by Harold Snoad, who also produced and directed ''Keeping Up Appearances''. Keith Barron
Keith Barron (8 August 1934 – 15 November 2017) was an English actor and television presenter who appeared in films and on television from 1961 until 2017. His television roles included the police drama ''The Odd Man'', the sitcom ''Duty Free'', and Gregory Wilmot in '' Upstairs, Downstairs''. Career Born in Mexborough in the West Riding of Yorkshire,'South Yorkshire' did not exist before 1 April 1974. 'West Riding of Yorkshire' is correct. Barron completed his national service in the Royal Air Force and his acting career started at the Sheffield Repertory Theatre, where he also met his wife, Mary, a stage designer. Maureen Beattie
Maureen Jane Beattie (born 14 August 1953) is an Irish-born, Scottish actress of both stage and screen. Early life Beattie was born in Bundoran, County Donegal on 14 August 1953, as the daughter of Scottish actor and comedian Johnny Beattie, who appeared as Malcolm Hamilton in Glasgow drama ''River City'', and his wife Kitty Lamont. She is the eldest of four children, and is the sister of Louise Beattie who appeared in ''Emmerdale'' in 2000 as Chris Tate's lawyer Laura Johnstone. Beattie was born in the seaside resort of Bundoran, Co Donegal, whilst her father was appearing at the town's St Patrick's Hall. She returned home to Glasgow, when she was two weeks old. Angus Wilson Lennie (18 April 1930 – 14 September 2014) was a Scottish film and theatre character actor with a 50-year career span. His numerous credits include the character of Flying Officer Archibald Ives in '' The Great Escape'', and ''Shughie McFee'' in the television soap opera '' Crossroads''. Early life Lennie was born and raised in Glasgow, receiving formal education there at Eastbank Academy. A British sitcom or a Britcom is a situational comedy programme produced for British television. Most British sitcoms are recorded on studio sets, while some have an element of location filming. Mark Wallington (writer)
Mark Wallington (born 1953 in Swanage) is a writer, perhaps most famous for his humorous "Boogie" travelogues,"Travels with Boogie"(''500 Mile Walkies'' and ''Boogie up the River'') London, Random House(1986;89- reissued 2006) both serialised on BBC Radio Four. He was working as a gardener in North London in 1979 when he began his writing career working with Dick Fiddy, submitting sketches to ''Not the Nine O'clock News'' and '' Dave Allen at Large''. They later scripted the BBC sitcom ''All Night Long''. In 1982 Wallington walked the South West coast path with his urban dog, Boogie. He wrote up the journey in ''500 Mile Walkies'' which became a best seller. ''Boogie up the River'' followed in 1989. In 1991 Wallington published a novel, ''The Missing Postman'', and then scripted the TV series of the same name starring James Bolam. Harold Snoad
Harold Edward Snoad (born 28 August 1935) is a British television producer, writer and director. He is best known for the television sitcom ''Keeping Up Appearances'', starring Patricia Routledge and Clive Swift. He is also well known for having directed and produced ''Ever Decreasing Circles'' starring Richard Briers and Peter Egan, as well as '' Don't Wait Up'' starring Tony Britton and Nigel Havers. He has also had a successful writing career with his writing partner Michael Knowles, writing the radio spinoff of ''Dad's Army'', ''It Sticks Out Half a Mile'' which evolved into the short-lived television series for ITV called '' High & Dry''. Keeping Up Appearances
''Keeping Up Appearances'' is a British sitcom created and written by Roy Clarke. It originally aired on BBC1 from 1990 to 1995 with two specials airing in 1997 and 2008 on PBS. The central character is an eccentric and snobbish middle class social climber, Hyacinth Bucket (Patricia Routledge), who insists that her surname is pronounced "Bouquet". The show comprised five series and 44 episodes, four of which are Christmas specials. Production ended in 1995 after Routledge decided to move on to other projects. All episodes and the specials have since been released on DVD. The sitcom follows Hyacinth in her attempts to prove her social superiority, and to gain standing with those she considers upper class. Her attempts are constantly hampered by her lower class extended family, whom she is desperate to hide.
