All Night Fuji
was a popular Japanese television show airing from April 2, 1983 to March 30, 1991 on Fuji TV. A total of 404 episodes were aired. The program's average rating was 3.5%, and its highest rating was 7.2% on March 25, 1989. The ratings were described as exceptional for a midnight program. Program history On April 2, 1983, Fuji TV launched ''All Night Fuji''. It aired every Saturday at midnight. Note that the closing time of the program was not determined, but was different for each episode. At times, the program would air until after 5:00 AM in the morning. is a broad word used to describe Japanese comedy as seen on television. The word ''owarai'' is the honorific form of the word ''warai'' (by adding o- prefix), meaning "a laugh" or "a smile". ''Owarai'' is most common on Japanese variety shows and the comedians are referred to as ''owarai'' '' geinin'' or ''owarai tarento''. Presently Japan is considered to be in an "''owarai'' boom", and many minor talents have been finding sudden fame after a gag or skit became popular. is a Japanese owarai artist, singer and actor. He is best known as a member of Tunnels and Yaen with his partner Noritake Kinashi.
