All Hail the Yeti is an American heavy metal band from Los Angeles. Formed in 2006, the ensemble has released three studio albums entitled ''All Hail the Yeti'', ''Screams From a Black Wilderness'' and ''Highway Crosses''. History On April 8, 2016, the band released ''Screams from a Black Wilderness'', produced by Matt Hyde. From late July until late August 2016, the band performed on their Haunted & Damaged North American headline tour with American thrash metal band Final Drive. Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. Matthew Paul Hyde is a British record producer, mix engineer, and musician. In 2008, he provided mix engineering with Colin Richardson on Slipknot (band), Slipknot's Grammy Award-nominated albums, ''All Hope Is Gone'' and ''9.0: Live''. His studio is based in London. Beginnings The first issue of ''Alternative Press'' was distributed at concerts in Cleveland, Ohio beginning in June 1985 by ''APs founder, Mike Shea to advocate bands playing underground music. The name for the magazine, ''Alternative Press'', was not a reference to the alternative rock genre, but referred to the fanzine being an alternative to the local press. History The site was founded in December 2006 by authors Ben Umanov and Matthew Goldenberg who use the pen names Vince Neilstein and Axl Rosenberg.
