All Bright Electric
''All Bright Electric'' is the ninth studio album by Welsh rock band Feeder. It was released on 21 September 2016 in Japan and on 7 October 2016 in the UK. Three singles were released from the album, "Universe of Life", "Eskimo" and "Another Day on Earth". The first two of these were Gratis singles from pre-orders of the albums, while the last single was a streaming-track only although no download was released. "Paperweight" had a video made for it but is not classified as a single. Release On 4 July 2016, the band released a short video announcing the dates of a September–October tour, along with a preview of an upcoming song. On 15 July 2016, the band announced the new album. Feeder (band)
Feeder are a Welsh rock band formed in Newport in 1994. They have released 11 studio albums, 12 compilations, four EPs and 43 singles, spending a combined total of 184 weeks on the singles and albums charts as of 2019, while accumulating 25 top 75 singles between 1997 and 2012. At their peak of commercial success, Feeder won two Kerrang! Awards in 2001 and 2003; they were inducted into their Hall of Fame in August 2019 for “Distinguished Services to Rock”. Feeder are one of the Britpop era bands to have continued success long after their peak. ''Kerrang!'' is a British weekly magazine devoted to rock, punk and heavy metal music, currently published by Wasted Talent (the same company that owns electronic music publication ''Mixmag''). It was first published on 6 June 1981 as a one-off supplement in the ''Sounds'' newspaper. Named after the onomatopoeic word that derives from the sound made when playing a power chord on a distorted electric guitar, ''Kerrang!'' was initially devoted to the new wave of British heavy metal and the rise of hard rock acts. Chris Sheldon (born 25 September 1962) is an English record producer, particularly of rock music based in London, England. He has produced or mixed records for the Foo Fighters, Garbage, Big Country, Feeder, Therapy?, Biffy Clyro, Oceansize, Pixies and Shed 7. He lives in London, is married and has two daughters. Career Sheldon was born in Pakistan when his parents were posted abroad for work and grew up in Surrey. He is best known as the drummer for the British indie rock band Feeder, replacing the band's previous drummer Mark Richardson. Taka Hirose
Takashi "Taka" Hirose (Japanese: タカ・ヒロセ (広瀬 隆), born 28 July 1967 in Mizuho, Japan) is a Japanese musician and chef who is the current bass guitarist for the rock band Feeder. Biography Hirose began playing bass at the age of 14 in secondary school and played in several jazz and metal bands during his school years. After leaving school, he moved to Tokyo and worked for guitar manufacturing specialists ESP as well as working at night in a downtown bar. In 1992 Hirose moved to London to study graphic design. After moving to London, Hirose planned to continue his musical activities, and answered an advertisement in the local ''Loot'' magazine from Grant Nicholas and Jon Lee, who were searching for a bassist in their new band, which would later become Feeder. Grant Nicholas
Grantley Jonathan "Grant" Nicholas (born 12 November 1967) is a Welsh musician, and lead singer and guitarist of the rock band Feeder. Early years Nicholas was born in Newport, South Wales, but grew up in Pwllmeyric, near Chepstow. He was educated at Monmouth School. He performed in public for the first time at the age of 11 at school, and gained four O-levels (the predecessor to GCSEs), including an A grade in Art. In school, Nicholas played the trumpet, and joined his first band, Sweet Leaf (named after a song by Black Sabbath, who were his favourite band in his school years, and the first he saw play live, at the Colston Hall in Bristol). He was promised his first guitar by his parents, as an incentive to pass his exams. He received the guitar, an Aron Les Paul copy after passing them.
