Alisha Dixon
Alesha Anjanette Dixon (born 7 October 1978) is an English singer, rapper, dancer, television personality, and author. She gained recognition in the early 2000s as a member of the R&B, garage and hip hop group Mis-Teeq. The group disbanded in 2005 and Dixon then pursued a music career as a solo artist, signing a recording contract with Polydor Records. She recorded her debut solo studio album, '' Fired Up'' in 2006, releasing her debut single "Lipstick", followed by "Knockdown", after which her popularity as a singer declined and she was subsequently dropped from Polydor. In 2007, Dixon won the fifth series of the BBC One dancing competition show ''Strictly Come Dancing''. Her television exposure led to a successful musical comeback, which included her signing to Asylum Records. Welwyn Garden City
Welwyn Garden City ( ) is a town in Hertfordshire, England, north of London. It was the second garden city in England (founded 1920) and one of the first new towns (designated 1948). It is unique in being both a garden city and a new town and exemplifies the physical, social and cultural planning ideals of the periods in which it was built. ''Fired Up'' is the debut solo album by English singer Alesha Dixon. Her first solo project, conceived after the disbandment of her former band, girl group Mis-Teeq, Dixon worked with a variety of producers on the album, including Peer Åström, Anders Bagge, Johnny Douglas, Paul Epworth, Brian Higgins, Richard Stannard, and Xenomania. Initially scheduled for a 6 November 2006 release through Polydor and Victor Entertainment in the United Kingdom, it was postponed indefinitely after Dixon was dropped by Polydor several days before its release. ITV is a British free-to-air public broadcast television network. It was launched in 1955 as Independent Television to provide competition to BBC Television (established in 1936). Strictly Come Dancing (series 9)
''Strictly Come Dancing'' returned for its ninth series on 10 September 2011 with a launch show, with the live shows starting on 30 September and 1 October 2011. The show was broadcast from Wembley Arena on 19 November with all proceeds going to the BBC charity, Children in Need. The final took place at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom and was the first episode in 3D, and was shown on BBC HD and 18 cinemas around the country. As in series 8 there are 14 couples with one new male professional, Pasha Kovalev, replacing Jared Murillo. Sir Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly continued to present the main show on BBC One, while the results show was presented by Daly and Claudia Winkleman. ''The Entertainer'' is the third studio album by English singer Alesha Dixon. It was first released by Asylum Records on 29 November 2010 in the United Kingdom. A tougher album with lots of different layers, Dixon worked with a variety of musicians on the album, including a larger number of American producers such as Jim Beanz, Busbee, Toby Gad, Rodney Jerkins and The Stereotypes, as well as British DJ Naughty Boy and frequent collaborators such as the Danish duo Soulshock & Karlin. Originally planned to be named ''Unleashed'', ''The Entertainer'' was decided upon instead. ''The Entertainer'' received generally mixed to positive reviews from music critics many of whom praised the strong, radio-friendly productions but felt that it lacked unique characteristics. Strictly Come Dancing (series 7)
''Strictly Come Dancing'' returned for its seventh series on 18 September 2009 on BBC One. Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly returned as presenters of the main show on BBC One, whilst Claudia Winkleman presented spin-off show '' Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two'' on BBC Two. Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood returned as judges. Series 5 winner Alesha Dixon joined the judging panel as a replacement for Arlene Phillips. Darcey Bussell (who would later become a permanent judge from 2012 until 2018) was a guest judge from the quarter final onwards. Series 6 winner Camilla Dallerup, series 4 winner Karen Hardy and Hayley Holt were replaced as professional female dancers by Aliona Vilani, Katya Virshilas and Natalie Lowe. "Breathe Slow" is a song performed by British singer-songwriter Alesha Dixon. It is the second single from her second studio album, ''The Alesha Show'', released by Asylum Records, a part of Atlantic Records, on 9 February 2009. The song peaked at number three on the UK Singles Chart. The song was nominated at the BRIT Awards 2010 in the Best British single category. "The Boy Does Nothing" is a song performed by British singer-songwriter Alesha Dixon. It is the lead single from her second studio album, ''The Alesha Show'' (2008). The song was written by Alesha along with the help of Brian Higgins, Miranda Cooper, Carla Marie Williams, and other members of Xenomania.
