Aliphine Chepkerker Tuliamuk (born 5 April 1989) is a Kenyan-born American long-distance runner. She placed first at the 2020 Olympic Marathon trials in Atlanta and represented the United States at the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. Tuliamuk has been a world class athlete since placing 9th in 21:09 at 2005 IAAF World Cross Country Championships – Junior women's race. Tuliamuk ran 33:43 to place 15th at 2017 IAAF World Cross Country Championships. Tuliamuk placed 3rd at 2019 Rotterdam Marathon in 2:26:50. NCAA In college, Tuliamuk was an All-American at Wichita State University. Tuliamuk became a First Team NCAA Division I All-American in cross country and in 2013, the first woman from her village to graduate from college, with a major in Public Health. West Pokot County is a county of Kenya. Its capital and largest town is Kapenguria. The Junior women's race at the 2005 IAAF World Cross Country Championships was held at the Hippodrome Joseph Desjoyaux in Saint-Galmier near Saint-Étienne, France, on March 19, 2005. Reports on the event were given in ''The New York Times'', in the ''Glasgow Herald'', and for the IAAF. Chirine Njeim
Chirine Njeim (born 4 October 1984) is a Lebanese alpine skier and long-distance runner. She represented Lebanon in the 2002, 2006 and the 2010 Winter Olympics, and the 2016 Summer Olympics. Biography Njeim started skiing at age 3. At 12, she went to France to train for 2 of years with a personal coach. She then moved to Salt Lake City in the United States in ninth grade, when she was 13, to attend thRowmark Ski Academy former home of U.S. Olympian Picabo Street. She went on to study at, and compete for, the University of Utah. Fifth Third River Bank Run
The Amway River Bank Run is an annual road running race hosted by Amway in U.S. city of Grand Rapids, Michigan, in the month of May. The 25K run was created and first held in 1978 by Old Kent Bank as the Old Kent River Bank Run and continued under that name until 2000, when its name was changed to the Fifth Third River Bank Run. The All-America designation is an annual honor bestowed upon an amateur sports person from the United States who is considered to be one of the best amateurs in their sport. Individuals receiving this distinction are typically added to an All-America team for their sport.
