Alick Maemae
Alick Leonard Maemae (born 10 December 1985) is a football midfielder from the Solomon Islands. He hails from Suraina, North East coast of Malaita. Club career He played soccer at a very early age. His interest in soccer forced him to abandon secondary education back at his home village at Manasu'u. Inspired by the first Solomon Islands professional soccer player, Batram Suri who is his very close relative, Maemae went to Honiara and started playing for Koloale FC. At Honiara, he started to gain popularity. The pacy and skilful, leftsided Maemae has played for NZFC outfit YoungHeart Manawatu, where he was joined by his compatriot Nelson Sale Kilifa. Other former clubs include Richmond Athletic, Koloale FC Honiara and Fawkner-Whittlesea Blues in Australia's Victorian Premier League. Oceania Champions League
The OFC Champions League, also known as the O-League, is the premier men's club soccer competition in Oceania. It is organised by the OFC, Oceania's football governing body. Beginning as the Oceania Club Championship (1987–2006), it has been organised since 2007 under its current format. The first four Club Championship titles were won by Australian clubs. Since 2006, 12 OFC titles have been won by clubs from New Zealand, one by a Papua New Guinean club and one by a New Caledonian club. Vanuatu National Football Team
The Vanuatu national football team is the national team of Vanuatu and is controlled by the Vanuatu Football Federation. History It was known as the New Hebrides national football team until the New Hebrides became Republic of Vanuatu in 1980. It finished fourth in the OFC Nations Cup in 1973, 2000, and 2002. In the 2004 Oceania Nations Cup, Vanuatu beat New Zealand 4–2, preventing the regional powerhouse from making the final and, consequently, the running for the 2006 World Cup. Stanley Waita
Stanley Waita (born 10 October 1979 in Auki) is a retired Solomon Islands footballer who played as a midfielder. Since January 2018 he is the head coach of the Solomon Islands under-17. Club career Waita played in the Central League for Wairarapa United in 2006. The Solomon Islands midfielder transferred to Ngaruawahia United where he played a key role in the club's promotion charge scoring ten goals in eleven matches for the club. Waita played in the ASB Premiership for Waikato FC and completed the 2007-2008 Lotto Sport Italia NRFL Division 1 seasons with Ngaruawahia United. Hekari United, formerly known as POM Souths, Souths United, PRK Souths United and Hekari Souths United, is a professional football club formed in 2006, based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. The club holds the record for most titles in the Papua New Guinea National Soccer League, having won eight consecutive titles from 2006 to 2014. 2009–10 OFC Champions League
The 2009–10 OFC Champions League, also known as the 2010 O-League for short, was the 9th edition of the Oceanian Club Championship, Oceania's premier club football tournament organized by the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC), and the 4th season under the current OFC Champions League name. It was contested by eight teams from seven countries. The teams were split into two four-team pools, the winner of each pool contesting the title of O-League Champion and the right to represent the OFC at the 2010 FIFA Club World Cup. The National Premier Leagues Victoria, commonly known as NPL Victoria, is a semi-professional soccer league in Victoria, Australia.
