''Alicinte Anveshanam'' ( en, The Search of Alice, italic=yes) is a 1989 Malayalam-language film written and directed by T. V. Chandran.The story revolves around a woman named Alice(Jalaja) who goes in search of her missing husband. Plot Set in northern Kerala, the film narrates the journey of Alice in search of her missing husband, a college lecturer. During her quest, she slowly discovers disturbing aspects of her husband, including his descent from his earlier radicalism into bourgeois degeneracy. Nilambur Balan
Nilambur Balan was an Indian actor in Malayalam movies. He was one of the prominent supporting actor in late 1960s and 1970s in Malayalam movies. He has acted in more than 50 movies. Biography He was born at Vatakara. He was a theater artist before becoming a cine artist. Balan acted in many films, including the ''Sankupushpam''. He was married to Vjayalakshmi on 8 December 1957. They have started a drama troupe, ''Kalithara'', and acted together in many dramas. His wife is Kerala State Theater Award winning actress. The couple has three children Santhosh, Vijayakumar, Asha. Jalaja is an Indian actress in Malayalam films who was active during the 1970s and 1980s. She had won Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress and Filmfare Award for Best Actress in 1981 for the movie Venal directed by Lenin Rajendran. Personal life She was born on 13 December 1961 to a Professor Thakazhiyil Vasudevan Pillai and Saraswathiyamma in Malaysia. She studied there till her fourth grade and then migrated to India, due to Civil war in Malaysia. She had her primary education from Asan Memorial Senior Secondary School, Madras, Ambalappuzha English Medium School and her Pre-degree from St. Joseph College, Alappuzha. She did her bachelor's degree and Masters in English Literature from Women's college Thiruvananthapuram. Nedumudi Venu
Kesavan Venugopal (22 May 1948 – 11 October 2021), better known by his stage name Nedumudi Venu, was an Indian actor and screenwriter from Kerala, who predominantly worked in Malayalam cinema. He acted in more than 500 films, primarily in Malayalam cinema, Malayalam and also in Tamil cinema, Tamil in a career spanning nearly five decades. He wrote screenplays and directed one film. The Locarno Film Festival is an annual film festival, held every August in Locarno, Switzerland.
