Alice Nellis
Alice Nellis (born 3 January 1971 in České Budějovice) is a Czech Filmmaking, filmmaker. Nellis first worked as a Western concert flute, flautist before studying English literature and American literature. In 1996–2001 she studied Screenwriting, scriptwriting and dramaturgy at Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, FAMU. She worked temporarily as a web designer for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Czech Republic), Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as a teacher, actress, translator and was filming short films and TV documentaries. Her first feature film (directed and scripted) ''Eeny meeny'' (2000) won the screenplay award of the FAMU Festival. Her 2002 film ''Some Secrets'' won the Czech Lion Award for Best Screenplay and the critics award. ''Buko'' is a 2022 Czech comedy drama film starring Anna Cónová. Directed and written by Alice Nellis, it tells story of a search and need for freedom on a farm. The title role was played by eponymous domestic horse. The film premiered on 7 July 2022 at the 56th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. Božena Němcová () (4 February 1820 in Vienna – 21 January 1862 in Prague) was a Czech writer of the final phase of the ''Czech National Revival'' movement. Her image is featured on the 500 CZK denomination of the Česká koruna. Michal Viewegh  is one of the most popular contemporary Czech writers. He is the most published Czech author of all time, with over a million books sold. In 1993 he earned the prestigious Jiří Orten award for Czech writers 30 years old or younger. Viewegh survived a traumatic aortic rupture in 2012. Life Michal Viewegh was born in Prague on March 31st, 1962. His mother is a lawyer. His father was a chemical engineer, and then the mayor of Sázava. Viewegh graduated from Benešov Gymnazium in 1980. He studied economics at the Prague University of Economics and Business, but dropped out.
