Ali Marwi
Ali Marwi ( ar, علي مروي) is a former Kuwaiti footballer. He prominently played during the early-to-late 1990s with the Kuwaiti national football team as a forward. He spent most of his career with Kuwait giants Al-Salmiya. He competed in the men's tournament at the 1992 Summer Olympics. Career Marwi has had a long career, with the national team and made appearances in several Gulf Cups. In 1992, Ali Marwi scored one goal in the U.A.E. net, as well as another in the Saudi net. During the 1994 competition, Ali also scored one goal against the Qatari national team. Al-Nasr Sports, Cultural and Social Club ( ar, نادي النصر الرياضي و الثقافي و الاجتماعي; also known locally as ''Al-Malik'', or "The King", or just plainly as Al-Nasr) is an Omani sports club based in Salalah, Oman. The Kuwait Premier League (), known as STC Premier League due to sponsorship reasons, is the top division of the Kuwait football pyramid system. Formed in 1961, Al-Arabi, Qadsia and Kuwait both hold the best record in the competition, having won 17 times. Al-Salmiya Sporting Club ( ar, نادي السالمية الرياضي) is a Kuwaiti professional football and sports club in Salmiya. They have won the Kuwaiti Premier League four times, most recently in 2000. The GCC Champions League ( ar, دوري أبطال الخليج للأندية), formerly known as the Gulf Cup for Clubs ( ar, كأس الخليج للأندية), was an annually organized football league tournament for clubs of the Arabian peninsula. The Arab Club Champions Cup ( ar, كأس العرب للأندية الأبطال, french: Ligue des Champions Arabe) is an annual regional club football competition organised by the Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA) and contested by elite clubs from the Arab world. The tournament is contested by a total of 38 teams – 19 from the Asian Football Confederation and 19 from the Confederation of African Football.
