Ali Douglas
Alison "Ali" Shaw (née Douglas) is a Scottish television presenter, who has appeared on ITV News, Sky Sports and MUTV. Broadcasting career Shaw started her television career with STV's children's department. She also presented current affairs programmes ''Seven Days'' and ''Trial By Night'', travel show ''Scottish Passport'', and property programme '' Safe As Houses''. In August 2009, she became the first female to anchor live coverage of the Scottish Premier League, on Sky Sports. The Scots ( sco, Scots Fowk; gd, Albannaich) are an ethnic group and nation native to Scotland. Historically, they emerged in the early Middle Ages from an amalgamation of two Celtic-speaking peoples, the Picts and Gaels, who founded the Kingdom of Scotland (or ''Alba'') in the 9th century. ITV (TV Network)
ITV is a British free-to-air public broadcast television network. It was launched in 1955 as Independent Television to provide competition to BBC Television (established in 1936). ITV is the oldest commercial network in the UK. Since the passing of the Broadcasting Act 1990, it has been legally known as Channel 3 to distinguish it from the other analogue channels at the time, BBC1, BBC2 and Channel 4. ITV was for four decades a network of separate companies which provided regional television services and also shared programmes between each other to be shown on the entire network.
