Ali Ahmed (actor)
Ali Ahmed was a Maldivian film actor. Career In 2003, Ahmed played the role of a greedy man, in the Abdul Faththaah-directed critically acclaimed television series, ''Thiyey Mihithuge Vindhakee'' (2003) which was considered as one of the best series production in television industry. The following year, he made his official film debut in the action-adventure film ''Hatharu Udhares'' as a heart-broken Romeo, starring alongside Reeko Moosa Manik, Ali Seezan and Mariyam Manike. He next played a brief role of a Ten-pin bowling, ten-pin bowler in Fattah's horror film ''Eynaa'' (2004), in which appear Sheela Najeeb, Mohamed Manik, Ahmed Shah, Khadheeja Ibrahim Didi, Ibrahim Jihad and Nashidha Mohamed as six colleagues who go on a picnic to a haunted uninhabited island and their battle for survival. Komandoo (Dhivehi: ) Code c-13 is one of the inhabited islands of the Shaviyani Atoll administrative division and geographically part of the North Miladhummadulhu Atoll in the Maldives. Sheereen Abdul Wahid is a Maldivian film actress. Career Wahid made her film debut in Ali Shameel's drama film '' Hithi Nimun'' (2001) featuring opposite Mohamed Shavin and Mariyam Nisha, which follows the storyline of a stubborn young man who abandons his girlfriend when he discovers about her pregnancy. Wahid collaborated with Amjad Ibrahim for his romantic horror film ''Dhonkamana'' (2003) which depicts the romantic relationship between a young man (played by Yoosuf Shafeeu) and an old woman (played by Fauziyya Hassan). Fathimath Zeenath (born 14 August 1978), commonly known as Zeenath Abbas is a Maldivian actress. She has established a career in Maldivian films and is the recipient of a Gaumee Film Award. Making her screen debut alongside Reeko Moosa Manik in the song "Edheythee Reethi Moona", her first film release was Mohamed Rasheed directed drama film '' Kuhveriya'' (1998). Ravee Farooq is a Maldivian actor, director, editor and choreographer. Career Farooq made his film debut with Abdul Faththaah-directed romantic disaster film, '' Hureemey Inthizaarugaa'' (2005) cast along with Mariyam Zuhura, Waleedha Waleed, Ibrahim Jihad and Neena Saleem. The film, heavily relied on the effect of the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake on the Maldives, received favorable reviews from critics though it failed to perform financially. Fauziyya Hassan
Fauziyya Hassan (8 January 1942 – 31 August 2022) was a Maldivian film actress. She made her film debut in ''Sidha'' in 1985. In 1994 she was arrested by the Indian police on espionage charges relating to the Indian Space Research Organisation. She and a friend were accused of passing sensitive defence information to Pakistan. The espionage case against Hassan was not proven and eventually other charges were dropped, though she spent three years in prison under the National Security Act. After her release Hassan appeared in a number of television dramas and films, including a run of horror films in the early 2000s. Ahmed Nimal is a Maldivian actor, director, editor, writer and producer. Early life Prior to acting in films, Nimal worked at Maldives Meteorological Service office. His interest in films and acting grew due to the influence of his colleagues including Easa Shareef and other friends who actively take part in theatre plays. Career Nimal made his career debut with ''Nufoozu'' (1984), an initiation by Shareef and his colleagues. Initially assigned to work behind the camera, Shareef requested him to star in the lead role of the film due to a date conflict of the original actor who was offered the role first. Niuma Mohamed (pronounced ; 20 October 1977) is a Maldivian film actress, director, and producer. The highest-paid actress in Maldives, Mohamed is the recipient of several awards, including two Gaumee Film Awards, and four Maldives Film Awards.
