Alhassan Suhuyini
Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini (born 12 September 1979) is a Ghanaian broadcast journalist and politician. He belongs to the National Democratic Congress. He is currently a member of the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana representing Tamale North. Education Alhassan Suhuyini attended Ghana Secondary School now Ghana Senior High School (Tamale), GHANASCO in Tamale. He holds a B.Sc. Public Administration and an M.Sc. Development management from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration. Career His career as a radio presenter started at Diamond FM in Tamale before he moved to the capital of Ghana. He had brief stints with Citi FM and Metro TV in Accra before settling with Radio Gold. He was voted Talk Show Host of the year in 2011, 2012 and 2013 by Radio listeners in Ghana at the Ghana Radio and Television Personality Awards. National Democratic Congress (Ghana)
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is a social democratic political party in Ghana, founded by Jerry Rawlings, who was Head of State of Ghana from 1981 to 1993 and the President of Ghana from 1993 to 2001. Following the formation of the Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC), which ruled Ghana following the military coup d'état on 31 December 1981, there was pressure from the international community to restore democracy. The NDC was formed as the ruling party ahead of elections in 1992, in which Rawlings was elected president, and in 1996 Rawlings was re-elected as the NDC candidate. Rawlings' second term ended in 2001. The NDC lost the presidency in the 2000 election, and it was not until the 2008 election, that they regained it with John Atta Mills as its candidate. Dagomba People
The Dagombas are a Gur ethnic group of northern Ghana, numbering more than 2.3 million people. They inhabit the Northern Region of Ghana in the sparse savanna region below the sahelian belt, known as the Sudan. They speak the Dagbani language which belongs to the Mole-Dagbani sub-group of the Gur languages. There are around 1 to 2 million speakers of Dagbani. The Dagomba are historically related to the Mossi people. The Mohi/Mossi now have their homeland in central present-day Burkina Faso. The homeland of the Dagomba is called Dagbon and covers about 20,000 km2 in area. Naa Gbewaa is regarded as the founder of Dagbon. Dagomba are one of the ethnic groups with a sophisticated oral tradition woven around drums and other musical instruments. John Dramani Mahama (; born 29 November 1958) is a Ghanaian politician who served as President of Ghana from 24 July 2012 to 7 January 2017. He previously served as Vice President of Ghana from January 2009 to July 2012, and took office as president on 24 July 2012 following the death of his predecessor John Evans Fiifi Attah Mills. Radio GOLD FM (Formerly Radio Total) is an FM radio station broadcasting from Bucharest, Romania.
