Algerian Professional Football Awards
The Algerian professional football awards is a collection of football awards given at the end of each season since 2008. Back then, the only award was the Manager of the Year. There are now 3 awards: Footballer, Goalkeeper and Manager. The previous fourth award, the Young Footballer of the Year Award, has no longer been handed out since 2008. The voters are all the players from the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 as well as the Algerian footballers playing abroad at the highest level. Entente Sportive Sétifienne ( ar, الوفاق الرياضي السطايفي), known as Entente de Sétif, commonly referred to as ES Sétif or ESS for short, is an Algerian professional football club based in Sétif. Brahim Boudebouda ( ar, ابراهيم بدبودة; born 28 August 1990 in Algiers) is an Algerian footballer who current plays as a left back for Algerian Ligue 2 club RC Kouba. Amir Sayoud ( ar, أمير سعيود; born 30 September 1990) is an Algerian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Saudi Professional League club Al-Tai. The 2015–16 Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 was the 54th season of the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 since its establishment in 1962. A total of 16 teams contested the league. The 2014–15 Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 was the 53rd season of the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 since its establishment in 1962. A total of 16 teams contested the league, with USM Alger as the defending champions. Following the death of Albert Ebossé Bodjongo, the Algerian Football Federation suspended all football indefinitely.
