Alfsee
The Alfsee is a reservoir in the north of the district of Osnabrück in the state of Lower Saxony in north Germany. It has an area of 2.2 km². It acts as a flood retention basin for the catchment area of the Hase and as local recreational area. Geography The Alfsee is located in the north of Bramgau in Osnabrücker Land. It lies around 25 km north of the city of Osnabrück and 8 km north of Bramsche, southeast of the Ankum Heights. About 95% of its area belongs to the parish of Alfhausen to the west, after which the reservoir is named. The rest, a bay on the eastern side of the lake is in the parish of Rieste. Lake environment Four lakes The water surface of the Alfsee covers 2.2 km² and its shore is about 7 km long. Its maximum north-south length is 2.88 km. Alfhausen
Alfhausen is a village in the collective municipality (''Samtgemeinde'') of Bersenbrück in the district of Osnabrück, Lower Saxony, Germany. Geography Location Alfhausen is located just under 27 km north of Osnabrück, and is in the north-west corner of Germany. Climate The area has a mild maritime climate affected by the moist northwest wind from the North Sea. The average annual temperature in Alfhausen is 8.5° - 9.0 °C and average annual precipitation is around 700 mm. Hase (river)
The Hase is a long river of Lower Saxony, Germany. It is a right tributary of the Ems, but part of its flow goes to the Else, that is part of the Weser basin. Its source is in the Teutoburg Forest, south-east of Osnabrück, on the north slope of the high Hankenüll hill. Ankum Heights
The Ankum Heights (german: Ankumer Höhe), also called the Fürstenau Hills (''Fürstenauer Berge''), are a ridge of hills up to 140 m high in the western part of the state of Lower Saxony on the North German Plain. Geography The densely forested Ankum Heights, which are about long and only a few kilometres wide, lies roughly north-northwest of the city of Osnabrück on the boundary of the districts of Emsland and Osnabrück between Herzlake to the northwest and Bramsche to the southeast, Fürstenau in the southwest and Bersenbrück in the northeast. is an autobahn in Germany. It runs from Heiligenhafen in Schleswig-Holstein to Saarbrücken, a distance of , but is incomplete between Cologne and Trier. The tench or doctor fish (''Tinca tinca'') is a fresh- and brackish-water fish of the order Cypriniformes found throughout Eurasia from Western Europe including the British Isles east into Asia as far as the Ob and Yenisei Rivers. Angling
Angling is a fishing technique that uses a fish hook or "angle" (from Old English ''angol'') attached to a fishing line to tether individual fish in the mouth. The fishing line is usually manipulated via a fishing rod, although rodless techniques such as handlining and longlining also exist.
