Alfredo Martínez (politician)
Alfredo Anselmo "Fredi" Martínez (born 6 September 1951) is an Argentine Radical Civic Union (UCR) politician. He sat in the Argentine Senate representing Santa Cruz Province from 2005 to 2017. Martínez was educated in Río Gallegos, Santa Cruz and Ramos Mejía, Buenos Aires, then graduated as an architect from the National University of La Plata. He worked in construction, tourism and for family businesses, and was President of the provincial architects' society 1985–86. From 1987, Martínez acted as adviser to the Radical councillors in Río Gallegos. In 1991 he was elected Mayor of Río Gallegos, and was re-elected in 1995 for a second term. In 2001 he was elected as a National Deputy, serving as secretary of the Public Works Committee, then President of the Housing and Urban Planning Committee. In 2003, Martínez stood for governor of Santa Cruz, coming in second with 27.4%, well behind Justicialist Sergio Acevedo with 71.7%. Martínez was elected a Senator in 2005. ...

Alfredo Martinez (born 1948) is a Cuban-American art collector, fine art photographer, curator, dealer, promoter, author, and former gallerist. He became a prominent figure in the Latin American fine art market internationally and particularly in South Florida after he began organizing art exhibitions in the mid-1980s. Martinez's professional and philanthropic art events and patronage activities were distinctive for referencing contemporary social issues, such as AIDS and underrepresented cultures in the arts. Martinez owned and operated two major art galleries and other art-related businesses based in Coral Gables, Florida. He has organized art exhibitions, lectures, and auctions throughout the United States and Latin America, including South Florida, New Hampshire, Argentina, Panama, and Costa Rica. Fred Martinez
Alfredo "Fred" Martinez (September 9, 1953 – July 9, 2014) was a Belize, Belizean politician and diplomat. A former member of the Senate of Belize (1984-1989, 1997-1998) and Mayor of Orange Walk Town (1985-1988, 1991-1992), Martinez held numerous diplomatic posts during his career. Martinez was Belize's chief negotiator in the talks with Guatemala aimed at resolving the countries' longtime Belizean–Guatemalan territorial dispute, territorial and border dispute. Martinez's first diplomatic posting was as Ambassador to neighboring Mexico from 1993 until 1997. He was appointed Ambassador to Guatemala in 2003, a position he held up to his death in 2014. In addition to his ambassadorship to Guatemala from 2003 to 2014, Martinez was concurrently Dual accreditation, accredited as Belize's non-resident ambassador to Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama.
