Alfred Stong
Alfred Joseph "Alf" Stong (born August 2, 1940) is a former politician in Ontario, Canada. He was a Liberal member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1975 to 1981. He represented the riding of York Centre. After his time in government he was appointed as a judge to the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Background He was born in Richmond Hill, Ontario, the son of Alfred David Stong, and educated at the University of Toronto and Osgoode Hall. In 1965, he married Raymonde Marie Aubrey. Stong served as a lieutenant in the Canadian Forces. Politics He ran in the 1975 provincial election as the Liberal candidate in the riding of York Centre. He defeated Progressive Conservative candidate Tony Roman by 1,379 votes. He was re-elected in 1977, but was defeated by PC candidate Don Cousens in 1981. Frances Elaine Campione is an Ontario woman who murdered her two children in Barrie, Ontario on October 2, 2006. Canadian prosecutors argued that she wanted to get revenge on her ex-husband and was afraid he would receive custody. The 1977 Ontario general election was held on June 9, 1977, to elect the 125 members of the 31st Legislative Assembly of Ontario. The Progressive Conservative Party, led by Premier Bill Davis, was re-elected for an eleventh consecutive term in office, again with a minority in the legislature. The PCs won an additional seven seats, but were not able to win a majority. The Liberal Party, led by Dr. Stuart Smith, lost one seat compared to its result in the previous election, but formed the Official Opposition because the NDP lost more seats. The New Democratic Party, led by Stephen Lewis, lost five seats, and losing the status of Official Opposition to the Liberals. Anthony Roman Agr.Sc. (January 17, 1936 in Veľký Ruskov, Czechoslovakia – October 30, 1992 in Markham, Ontario) was a politician in Ontario, Canada. Donald Deacon
Donald MacKay Deacon (April 24, 1920 – September 16, 2003) was a politician in Ontario, Canada. He was a Liberal member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1967 to 1975 who represented the riding of York Centre. Background Deacon was born and raised in a family of ten children in Toronto, Ontario and attended the University of Toronto Schools. In 1942, he volunteered to serve in the 3rd Medium Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery during World War II, rising to the rank of captain. Deacon, a Forward Observation Officer, travelled with front line infantry in order to direct artillery fire via radio transmission. In later years, he often commented at how accurately George G.
