''Alfred Marks Time'' is a British television comedy series which aired from 1956 to 1961 on ITV. Starring comedian Alfred Marks, the series often parodied popular movies and TV shows. It was produced by Associated-Rediffusion Television, and Jack Hylton Productions. ITV (TV Network)
ITV is a British free-to-air public broadcast television network. It was launched in 1955 as Independent Television to provide competition to BBC Television (established in 1936). ITV is the oldest commercial network in the UK. Since the passing of the Broadcasting Act 1990, it has been legally known as Channel 3 to distinguish it from the other analogue channels at the time, BBC1, BBC2 and Channel 4. ITV was for four decades a network of separate companies which provided regional television services and also shared programmes between each other to be shown on the entire network. Kenneth Connor
Kenneth Connor, (6 June 1918 – 28 November 1993) was a British stage, film and broadcasting actor, who rose to national prominence with his appearances in the ''Carry On'' films. Early life Connor was born in Highbury, Islington, London, the son of a naval petty officer who organised concert parties. He first appeared on the stage at the age of two as an organ-grinder's monkey in one of his father's shows, in Portsmouth. By the age of 11 he had his own act. He attended the Central School of Speech and Drama, where he was a Gold Medal winner. Connor made his professional debut in J. M. Barrie's ''The Boy David'', at His Majesty's Theatre, London, in December 1936. Paddie O'Neil (born Adalena Lillian Nail, 1 May 1926 – 31 January 2010) was a British actress and singer.Obituary '' London Independent'', 27 April 2010. The daughter of circus and fairground performers, O'Neil spent her childhood travelling and performing at fairgrounds. While at stage school in London she was spotted and signed up by the BBC. She was a singer on the radio during the war years, and presented the variety show ''Navy Mixture''. Paddie met the actor Alfred Marks while performing in Brighton, and they were married in 1952. Thomas Rundle Reilly Order of the British Empire, MBE (August 21, 1919 – September 25, 2000) was a Canadian-born harmonica player, predominantly based in England. He began studying violin at eight and began playing harmonica at aged eleven as a member of his father's band. In the 1940s, he began parallel careers as a concert soloist and recitalist, a popular radio and TV performer, and a studio musician-composer.
