Alfonso Navarrete Prida
Alfonso Navarrete Prida (born 13 October 1963) is a Mexican politician from the Institutional Revolutionary Party who served as the Secretary of the Interior in 2018. He previously served as the Secretary of Labor of Mexico from 2012 to 2018. From 2009 to 2012 he served as Deputy of the LXI Legislature of the Mexican Congress representing the State of Mexico. Navarrete was on board the helicopter which crashed in February 2018 while surveying the damage done by a recent earthquake. 14 people were killed in the crash, but Navarrete and fellow politician Alejandro Murat Hinojosa Alejandro Ismael Murat Hinojosa (born August 4, 1975) is a Mexican politician affiliated with the Institutional Revolutionary Party. The 2018 Oaxaca earthquake occurred on February 16, 2018 at 17:39 local time (23:39 UTC) in the Sierra Madre del Sur mountains in Oaxaca state in Southern Mexico. It had a magnitude of 7.2 on the moment magnitude scale and a maximum felt intensity of VII (''Very strong'') on the Mercalli intensity scale. The hypocenter was located at a depth of 24.6 km and approximately 37 km northeast of Pinotepa de Don Luis. Alejandro Ismael Murat Hinojosa (born August 4, 1975) is a Mexican politician affiliated with the Institutional Revolutionary Party. He was elected Governor of Oaxaca in 2016 and took office on December 1, 2016. Life Murat Hinojosa was born on August 4, 1975 in the State of Mexico; his father, José Murat Casab, was also a PRI politician who served as governor of Oaxaca from 1998 to 2004.
