Allan Jeffrey "Alfie" Langer AM (born 30 July 1966) is an Australian former multi-award-winning rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s and worked as an assistant coach for the Australian national team, the Queensland Maroons and the Brisbane Broncos. He was one of the pre-eminent s of his era, representing Australia on many occasions and holding the record for most State of Origin appearances, until being surpassed by his club, state and country team-mate Darren Lockyer. Langer played most of his career as captain of the Brisbane Broncos, with whom he won the 1992 Clive Churchill Medal and Rothmans Medal, as well as four premierships and the club's player of the year award a record five times. Alfie Stokes (3 October 1932 – 30 March 2002 in Worthing). Born in Hackney and educated at the Parmiter's School he was a professional footballer who played for Tottenham Hotspur, Fulham, Cambridge City, Watford and represented England at England B and schoolboy level. Football career Stokes joined Tottenham from non-league side Clapton in February 1953. He scored on his debut in a 3-2 win over Bolton Wanderers at Burnden Park in April 1953. Alfie Charles Plant (born 6 July 1992) is an English professional golfer. He came to prominence by winning the Silver Medal, as the leading amateur, at the 2017 Open Championship. Amateur career Plant was runner-up at the 2015 English Amateur at Alwoodley Golf Club, Leeds losing 9&7 to Joe Dean in the 36 hole final. Plant played for England in the 2016 Eisenhower Trophy were the team finished second, their best ever finish in the event. Later in 2016 he won the Lytham Trophy with a score of 284 to win by seven shots. Plant won the 2017 European Amateur at Walton Heath Golf Club. Alfie Martin Kevin Pavey (born 2 October 1995) is an English footballer who plays as a forward for National League South club Dover Athletic. Career On 18 December 2012, he was called up for the first time by Maidstone United, remaining an unused substitute in their 1–2 defeat away to FC Halifax Town in the FA Trophy second round at The Shay. Alfred Ernest Moore (December 1, 1904 – June 29, 1979) was a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender. Moore played 16 seasons of professional ice hockey between 1925 and 1942, including 21 games in the National Hockey League with the Chicago Black Hawks, New York Americans and Detroit Red Wings between 1937 and 1940 Playing career During game one of the 1938 Stanley Cup Finals Moore replaced Mike Karakas in the Chicago Black Hawks net when replacement goaltender Paul Goodman did not arrive in Toronto on time. Alfred Michaud (born November 6, 1976) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. An Ojibwe, Michaud played junior seasons in the SJHL, and then began a three-year tenure with the Maine Black Bears, winning an NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Championship during his college career. Michaud turned professional with the Vancouver Canucks' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch in 1999. He played 2 games for the Canucks in 1999.
