Alf Frydenberg
Alf Birger Frydenberg (2 May 1896 – 14 May 1989) was a Norwegian civil servant. He was born in Furnes as a son of Bernt Frydenberg (1868–1925) and Benedicte Charlotte Christiansen (1872–1953). In 1931 he married Major's daughter Marie Catharina Knap. He studied from 1917 and graduated from the Royal Frederick University with the cand.jur. degree in 1921. He worked in the Ministry of Social Affairs from 1921 to 1947, except for 1925 to 1926 when he was a deputy judge in Hadeland and Land District Court, and from 1939 to 1940 when he was a deputy under-secretary of state in the Ministry of Provisioning and Reconstruction. In the Ministry of Social Affairs he was a clerk from 1921, assistant secretary from 1936 and deputy under-secretary of state from 1940. Furnes, Norway
Furnes is a village in Ringsaker Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The village is located just west of the European route E6 highway, about from the town of Hamar to the southeast and the same distance from Brumunddal to the norhtwest. Furnes Church is located in the village. It was built in 1707 using some of the stone from the Cathedral Ruins in Hamar. This village was the administrative centre of the old Furnes Municipality that existed from 1891 until 1964. Name The village is named Furnes ( non, Furnes). The meaning of the first element is unknown. It is possible that the first part came from the old name of a local river such as ''Fura'' or it could be derived from the word ''furu'' which means "pine". The last element is ''nes'' which means " headland". ''Hvem er hvem?'' ( en, Who is Who?) was a Norwegian book series, presenting facts about notable persons from Norway. The first edition was issued in 1912, and the 14th edition came in 1994. Vestre Gravlund
Vestre Gravlund is a cemetery in the Frogner borough of Oslo, Norway. It is located next to the Borgen metro station. At , it is the largest cemetery in Norway. It was inaugurated in September 1902 and also contains a crematorium (''Vestre krematorium'') and chapel (''Gravkapellet''). The grave chapel was constructed in granite and clay stone and was designed by architect Alfred Christian Dahl (1857–1940). It was built in 1900 and consecrated in 1902. Hedmark Museum
Anno Museum (formerly ''Hedmarks fylkesmuseum'') in Hamar, Norway is a regional museum for the municipalities of Stange, Hamar (which now includes Vang), Løten, and Ringsaker in central eastern Norway. It includes the medieval Cathedral Ruins in Hamar mentioned in Sigrid Undset's literary magnum opus ''Kristin Lavransdatter''. The cathedral ruins are secured under a glass shelter designed by Lund & Slaatto Architects and completed in 1998. Eastern Norway
Eastern Norway ( nb, Østlandet, nn, Austlandet) is the geographical region of the south-eastern part of Norway. It consists of the counties Vestfold og Telemark, Viken, Oslo and Innlandet.
