Alexis Jones
Alexis Whitney Jones (born July 6, 1983) is an American activist and motivational speaker best known for competing on the reality competition show '' Survivor''. Early life and education Jones was born in Austin, Texas, and grew up there with her mother, father and four older brothers. Her parents divorced when she was young. She attended Westlake High School just outside of Austin, and after graduation, she enrolled at the University of Southern California (USC), where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations as well as a Master of Communication Management degree, the latter of which was completed in only one year. While at USC, she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority (ΚΚΓ). In addition, she performed in ''The Vagina Monologues'' and also worked at Fox Sports while attending college. Jellyfish Lake ( pau, Ongeim'l Tketau, lit=Fifth Lake) is a marine lake located on Eil Malk island in Palau. Eil Malk is part of the Rock Islands, a group of small, rocky, mostly uninhabited islands in Palau's Southern Lagoon, between Koror and Peleliu. There are about 70 other marine lakes located throughout the Rock Islands. Millions of golden jellyfish migrate horizontally across the lake daily. Jellyfish Lake is connected to the ocean through fissures and tunnels in the limestone of an ancient Miocene reef. However the lake is sufficiently isolated and the conditions are different enough that the diversity of species in the lake is greatly reduced from the nearby lagoon.
