Aliaksei Ivanou ( be, Аляксей Іваноў, russian: Алексей Иванов) (born 17 May 1980) is a Belarusian cross-country skier who has competed swince 2004. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, he finished 45th in the 50 km, 48th in the 30 km mixed pursuit, and 60th in the 15 km events. Alexei Viktorovich Ivanov (russian: Алексе́й Ви́кторович Ивано́в; born November 23, 1969) is a Russian award-winning writer. Biography Early Years and First Works Ivanov was born in Nizhny Novgorod into a family of shipbuilding engineers. In 1971 the family moved to Perm, where he grew up. In 1987, he entered Ural State University as a journalism student. He left college after a year, returning in 1990 to study art and culturology. An assignment from a workplace was required to enroll, later Ivanov confessed that he forged a paper, proving that he worked in a museum. Ivanov graduated in 1996. His first publication was a fantastic story called "Hunt for the Great Bear," published in 1990 in the magazine ''Uralsky sledopyt'' with 500,000 circulation. After returning to Perm, Ivanov worked as a guard, schoolteacher, university teacher, and tourist guide; the latter occupation brought him to study local history, which he later explored in his writ ...

Aleksei Ivanovich Ivanov (russian: Алексе́й Ива́нович Ивано́в; ; 1878–1937) was a Russian Sinologist and Tangutologist. Biography Ivanov entered Saint Petersburg University in 1897, where he studied Chinese and Manchu. After graduating in 1902 he went to China for further study for two years, and on his return in 1904 he went on a study tour of England, France and Germany for a year. He was appointed a lecturer in Chinese at Saint Petersburg University in 1904, and he was made a professor Chinese and Manchu in 1915. In 1922 Ivanov was appointed as a senior dragoman (interpreter) at the Soviet embassy in Beijing. In the summer of 1937, during the Great Purge, Ivanov was arrested and executed. Scholarship Ivanov was the first scholar to study the printed books and manuscripts written in the as yet undeciphered Tangut script that had been found in the abandoned city of Khara-Khoto in Inner Mongolia by Pyotr Kozlov in 1908–1909. Alexei Yevgenyevich Ivanov (russian: Алексей Евгеньевич Иванов; born 1979), known as The Taxi Driver Maniac (russian: Маньяк-таксист), is a Russian serial killer who killed four prostitutes in Novosibirsk between May and October 2015, dismembering and burning the victims' bodies post-mortem. A one-time suspect in the "Novosibirsk Maniac" case (for which former policeman Yevgeny Chuplinsky would later be convicted), he was convicted of his killings and sentenced to life imprisonment. Early life Little is known about Ivanov's life and upbringing. A native of Novosibirsk born in 1979, he had a small criminal record with arrests for burglary, but was considered a normal, married man who worked as a taxi driver in the local area.
