Alexandru Crețu
Alexandru Crețu (; born 24 April 1992) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder or a centre-back for Liga I club Universitatea Craiova. Club career Crețu came into prominence during the 2012–13 Liga I season, following his good performances as a central defender at CSMS Iași. In December 2016, he signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with Slovenian team Olimpija Ljubljana. In February 2018, Crețu moved to domestic rivals Maribor with which he agreed to a three-and-a-half-year deal. In the summer of 2021, he returned to Romania to sign for FCSB as a free agent. He however left the club before the end of August after falling out with owner George Becali. International career Crețu was a member of the Romanian under-21 youth team. Pașcani
Pașcani () is a city in Iași County in the Western Moldavia region of Romania, on the Siret river. , it has a population of 33,745. Five villages are administered by the city: Blăgești, Boșteni, Gâstești, Lunca, and Sodomeni. The city derived its name from the estate of the boyar Oană Pașca. It is the city where Mihail Sadoveanu's novel ''The Place Where Nothing Happened'' takes place. An important local site is the Church of the Holy Archangels. The Slovenian PrvaLiga ( sl, Prva slovenska nogometna liga, ), currently named Prva liga Telemach due to sponsorship reasons, also known by the abbreviation 1. The 2013–14 Liga II was the 74th season of the Liga II, the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The season began on 7 September. The 25 teams were divided in two series (with 13, respectively 12 teams). The regular season was played in a round-robin tournament. The first six teams from each series played a play-off for promotion to Liga I. The teams placed 6th to 12th played in a Relegation play-out. The first two teams in each series promoted at the end of the season to Liga I, and the teams placed below the 10th place were relegated to Liga III. 2011–12 Liga II
The 2011–12 Liga II was the 72nd season of the Liga II, the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The league structure had two series of 16 teams each. The first two teams in each series were promoted and the last three in each series were relegated. The season began on August 20. Teams Three of the five relegated teams from the previous Liga I season, Timișoara, Gloria Bistrița and Unirea Urziceni, did not apply for a Liga II license. The latter club was dissolved, while the first two appealed the relegation decision at the Court of Arbitration for Sport and did not to apply for Liga II licenses. The Liga 2, most often spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07. It is currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company with the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. The 2020–21 UEFA Nations League was the second season of the UEFA Nations League, an international association football competition involving the men's national teams of the 55 member associations of UEFA. The competition was held from September to November 2020 (league phase), October 2021 (Nations League Finals) and March 2022 (relegation play-outs).
