Alexandra "Alex" Eames is a fictional character within the ''Law & Order'' universe portrayed by Kathryn Erbe. Eames first appears on ''Law & Order: Criminal Intent'' as a detective partnered with Robert Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio). Psychological trauma, mental trauma or psychotrauma is an emotional response to a distressing event or series of events, such as accidents, rape, or natural disasters.
