Alexander Randall (Wisconsin Politician)
Alexander Williams Randall (October 31, 1819July 26, 1872) was a lawyer, judge and politician from Wisconsin. He served as the sixth Governor of Wisconsin from 1858 until 1861. He was instrumental in raising and organizing the first Wisconsin volunteer troops for the Union Army during the American Civil War. Alexander Randall (Maryland Politician)
Alexander Randall (January 3, 1803November 21, 1881) was a member of the United States House of Representatives from Maryland, and served as Attorney General of Maryland from 1864–1868. He was the thirteenth child of his parents, John and Deborah Knapp Randall. His father was a Revolutionary War veteran, born in Westmoreland County, Virginia and later was Collector of the Port of Annapolis and was elected three times as Mayor of Annapolis between 1813 and 1818. Education As a child, Randall attended schoolrooms taught by Miss Sally Ross, Thomas Bassford and Mr. Curran. He graduated with first honor in his class from St. John's College in Annapolis in 1822, teaching during his junior and senior years. Career After graduation, Randall thought of teaching but his father quashed the idea, directing him instead to the legal profession. Alex Randall
Alex Randall (born in 1982, London) is a British lighting designer and artist. She is probably best known for her use of unconventional materials in large-scale chandeliers, such as taxidermy rawhide and salvaged materials. Her studio is based in London. Randall first attended the Chelsea School of Art where she studied sculpture and later Falmouth College of Art where she completed an MA in Professional Writing. In 2006 Randall started her career as a lighting artist and designed her first piece, the award-winning Bakelite Telephone Lamp In 2007 Randall's work started making its way into the marketplace in stores such as Liberty and Harvey Nichols. Randall's work normally finds its way into boutique hotels, restaurants and private residences as well as the clothing brand Ted Baker.
