Aleksandr Yakovlevich Golovin (russian: Алекса́ндр Я́ковлевич Голови́н, ; – 17 April 1930) was a Russian artist and stage designer. He designed productions for Sergei Diaghilev, Constantin Stanislavski, and Vsevolod Meyerhold. Born at Moscow, Golovin initially studied architecture, later switching to painting. He also attended the Académie Colarossi. Due to financial difficulties, upon graduation he worked as an interior painter and decorator. He also tried his hand at various artistic fields such as furniture design. In 1900 he took part in designing the Russian Empire pavilion at the Paris World's Fair together with his friend K.A. Korovin. He studied at the Académie Vitti in Paris. In 1901 he moved to the Saint Petersburg region from Moscow. It was here that he came into his own as a stage designer, combining symbolism and modernism on operatic and dramatic productions for Diaghilev, Meyerhold and others. Alexander Vasiliyevich Golovin (russian: Александр Васильевич Головин; 5 December 1949 – 27 October 2023) was a Russian diplomat with the rank of Plenipotentiary Ambassador. Biography Golovin graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 1971, and went on to work in various posts with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR. From 1993 to 1996, he was Senior Adviser to the Embassy of Russia in Berlin, and from 1996 to 2000 was director of the Fourth European Department at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His first ambassadorial appointment came in 2000, when he was appointed by Vladimir Putin at Ambassador of Russia to Austria from 4 August 2000, and held this post until 6 August 2004. Aleksandr Sergeyevich Golovin (russian: Александр Сергеевич Головин, p=ɐlʲɪˈksandr sʲɪrˈgʲe(j)ɪvʲɪtɕ gəlɐˈvʲin; born 30 May 1996) is a Russian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Ligue 1 club Monaco and the Russia national team. He can also play as a central midfielder or a winger. Early life Golovin was born to a mining family in the small mining town of Kaltan in Southern Siberia, Russia. Since childhood, he was friends with Aleksandr Plyasunov, a coach at the local youth sports school. When Golovin was six years old, he started playing football under Plyasunov, before moving on to the school of FC Novokuznetsk (then called Metallurg-Zapsib) and the Olympic reserve school in Leninsk-Kuznetsky.
