Alexander Fisher (sound Engineer)
Alexander Fisher was a sound engineer. For 36 years he participated in creating movies and TV programs. He was born on 25 December 1903 in pre-Revolutionary Russia. He died in September 1993 (age 89) in Hertfordshire, England. Career After some movie work together, Alexander Fisher became Peter Sellers' favorite sound technician. In his own productions Peter Sellers eventually refused to work with anyone else in sound. On photographfrom Peter Sellers to Alexander the dedication says: "Why, why, why, can't we have some silence please". Which was Sash's catch phrase and how he was greeted on the set. And further on: "To Sash, with grateful thanks for another wonderful job – Peter Sellers". During his career Alexander Fisher worked with many movie stars, who gave him presents of dedication, among others Gina Lollobrigida, Elizabeth Taylor. Alexander Ingram Fisher
Alexander Ingram Fisher (November 20, 1875 – December 10, 1943) was a lawyer, judge and political figure in British Columbia. He represented Fernie from 1916 to 1920 in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia as a Liberal. He was born in Waterdown, Ontario (now Hamilton, Ontario), the son of Reverend Simeon Whidden Fisher and Mary Ingram, and was educated in Dundas, at Toronto University and at Osgoode Hall. Fisher was called to the Ontario bar in 1906 and to the British Columbia bar in 1907. In the same year, he married Eva Mary MacKinnon. He ran unsuccessfully for a seat in the assembly in 1909. Fisher was defeated when he ran for reelection in 1920. He was named King's Counsel in 1923. In 1929, Fisher was named to the Supreme Court of British Columbia. Alexander Fisher (painter)
Alexander Fisher (1864 – 1936), was an English silversmith and painter active in the Arts and Crafts movement in London. He was a teacher at the Slade School of Art and wrote a book about enameling and the article on "Enamel" for the ''Encyclopædia Britannica''. His book, ''The art of enamelling upon metal: with a short appendix concerning miniature painting on enamel'' was published in 1909. Biography He was an enamelist reviving the methods of the Limoges enamel, Limoges school of enameling. He started as a painter and silversmith, but travelled to Limoges to learn enameling techniques.
