Alexander Escobar Rosales (born April 4, 1984) is a Salvadoran footballer. Club career He played in the C.D. San Francisco Junior youth teams and has played all of his professional career at A.D. Isidro Metapán, since making his debut in 2001. International career Nicknamed ''la Rastra'', Escobar made his debut for El Salvador in a January 2003 friendly match against Guatemala and has, as of December 2010, earned a total of 34 caps, scoring no goals. Metapán
Metapán is a city and municipality in the Santa Ana department of El Salvador. Metapán is situated in the northern part of the department, bordering Honduras and Guatemala. It is the second largest city in the department after Santa Ana and is divided between 29 ''cantones''. Geography The city of Metapán, next to the San Jose River, lies at 470 meters above sea level. It is located 46 kilometers north of Santa Ana city, connected via a paved highway. The municipality extends beyond the city and into the country surrounding the city. 2009 UNCAF Nations Cup
The UNCAF Nations Cup 2009 was the tenth edition of the UNCAF Nations Cup, the biennial association football, football (soccer) tournament for the CONCACAF-affiliated national teams of Central America. The first five places qualified for the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup. The event was going to take place in Panama City, Panama between January 22 and February 1, 2009, but the FEPAFUT, Panamanian FA announced that they would not host the event due to not having an adequate stadium available for the time period of the tournament. The alternative hosts were Honduras and Guatemala. Honduras submitted an official replacement bid on November 12, and after some consideration it was moved to Honduras. All games were played in Estadio Nacional Chelato Uclés, Estadio Tiburcio Carías Andino in Tegucigalpa. The tournament was sponsored by Digicel.
