Alexander Browne
Captain Alexander Crawford Browne (died 11 December 1942) was an Ulster Unionist Party politician. Crawford Browne attended Methodist College Belfast from 1873 to 1880. He served in the 36th (Ulster) Division from 1914 to 1919 and became a Captain in 1917. In 1924 he was elected as a Belfast City Councillor before becoming a councillor for Princeton Ward in Bangor in 1927. He was elected at the 1931 general election as Member of Parliament (MP) for Belfast West, and held the seat until his death. In 1935, he married Dorothy Dawson. Dorothy was from a family of eight who also attended Methodist College Belfast. Arnold de Jode, the son of Pieter de Jode, the younger, was born at Antwerp in 1638. He was instructed in engraving by his father, but he never rose above mediocrity. 2008 Canadian Figure Skating Championships
The 2008 Canadian Figure Skating Championships took place from January 16 through 20th, 2008 at the Pacific National Exhibition in Vancouver, British Columbia. They were the figure skating competition which determine the national champions of Canada. The event was organized by Skate Canada, the nation's figure skating governing body. Skaters competed at the senior and junior levels in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The results of this competition were used to pick the Canadian teams to the 2008 World Championships, the 2008 Four Continents Championships, and the 2008 World Junior Championships. Thomas Thynne (died 1682)
Thomas Thynne (1647/8–12 February 1682) was an English landowner of the family that is now headed by the Marquess of Bath and politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1670 to 1682. He went by the nickname "Tom of Ten Thousand" due to his great wealth. He was a friend of the Duke of Monmouth, a relationship referred to in John Dryden's satirical work ''Absalom and Achitophel'' where Thynne is described as "Issachar, his wealthy western friend". Alex Browne
Alex Browne (born 9 August 1992) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Essendon Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Browne played for the Oakleigh Chargers in the TAC Cup. He was drafted by Essendon with pick 48 in the 2010 national draft and made his debut against at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in round 11 of the 2011 AFL season. He was delisted in October 2015. His father, Murray Browne, played for and in the 1980s and his mother was a cheerleader for . Browne, along with 33 other Essendon players, was found guilty of using a banned performance-enhancing substance, thymosin beta-4, as part of Essendon's sports supplements program during the 2012 season.
