Sándor Bródy (23 July 1863 in Eger – 12 August 1924) was a Hungarian author and journalist. Biography Bródy was born in Eger, Hungary. His family was Jewish. After attending the schools of Eger he devoted himself entirely to literature. From 1888 to 1890 he was editor of the "'' Erdélyi Híradó''", published at Kolozsvár (present-day Cluj-Napoca), and was also connected with the "''Erdélyi Képes Ujság''" and the political daily "'' Magyarság''". Since 1890 he was a member of the "''Magyar Hírlap''", and since 1882 a prolific contributor of articles, feuilletons, stories, and novels to the leading literary publications of Hungary. In his works he depicts the dark side of life, and is a disciple of the modern French realistic school. In 1995, the literary award :Sándor Bródy prize recognizing the best first novel of the year published in Hungarian was established in his honor by his grandson, the :Hungarian American Alexander Brody.Bródy Sándor utca named ...

Sandy Brody (born August 4, 1967) is an American former racing driver. He competed in the British Formula 3 Championship in 1990 and 1991. In 1991 he captured 6 National Class wins driving for ZW Motorsport and Alan Docking Racing and finished runner-up in the National Class championship. He returned to his native United States in 1992 to compete in the Indy Lights series where he finished 6th in his rookie season. The following year he finished 10th in points, capturing his only series win in the season opener at Phoenix International Raceway Phoenix Raceway is a 1-mile, low-banked tri-oval race track located in Avondale, Arizona, near Phoenix. Sándor Bródy (footballer)
Sándor Bródy (15 August 1884 – 19 April 1944) was a Jewish- Hungarian football (soccer) player. He competed for Hungary at the 1912 Olympics and was a star in the national side. His first appearance in Ferencvaros was in 1902 and he played in the starting lineup until 1914. He took part in the First World War in the Austro-Hungarian army, and in March 1915 he was captured by the Russian Army in the Polish city of Przemysl and spent the rest of the war in the Russian prison camp at Berezovka on the river Ob in Siberia. He played in 17 matches for the Hungarian national side and scored once (1906–1913). Later he worked as a coach for Swedish side IFK Goteborg (1921–1923) and for his former club, Ferencvaros (1937). Life and career

Brody was born in , , on January 28, 1933. His father, János Bródy, raced horses and traded grain commodities in the period encompassing the two world wars. His mother, Lilly Bródy née Pollatschek, was a painter. He was a nephew of journalist
