Alexa Micek
Alexa Micek (born October 28, 1991) is a Filipino American volleyball athlete who played for Petron Blaze Spikers in the Philippine Super Liga and Kia Forte in the Shakey's V-League. Personal life She graduated from North Carolina State University, where she took up civil engineering for three seasons. She is the daughter of Matt Micek. Career Micek studied at Oak Park High School, being twice named first team All Tri-Valley League and honored as team Most Valuable Player in 2007 and 2008. She went to Los Angeles Pierce College where she led the Western Conference in digs with 606. She played the 2015 Spike For Peace Women’s International Beach Volleyball and the Beach Volleyball Republic Christmas Open at the SM Sands by the Bay, December 19–20, 2015, both with Charo Soriano. Oxnard () is a city in Ventura County, California, United States. On California's South Coast, it is the most populous city in Ventura County and the 22nd-most-populous city in California. Maria Rosario "Charo" Soriano (born October 14, 1985) is a Filipino volleyball player, coach, and politician. Soriano is one of the founders of Beach Volleyball Republic, an outdoor volleyball tournament, and a board member of the Philippine National Volleyball Federation. She also serves as a Sangguniang Bayan, city councilor of Tuguegarao since 2022. Volleyball career During her collegiate playing career for the Ateneo Blue Eagles, Ateneo Lady Eagles, she played indoor and beach volleyball. After playing With the Ateneo Lady Eagles from 2003 to 2008, she worked as assistant coach for this team from 2012 to 2014. The Shakey's V-League 12th Season Reinforced Open Conference was the 24th conference of the Shakey's V-League that started on October 10, 2015 at the Filoil Flying V Arena, San Juan. The 2015 PLDT Home Ultera PSL Beach Volleyball Challenge Cup was the inaugural beach volleyball tournament of the Philippine Super Liga and the second tournament for its third season. 2015 PSL Season
The 2015 PSL season is the third season of the Philippine Super Liga (PSL). There were two indoor conferences for the season – the All-Filipino, and the Grand Prix. It staged its first beach volleyball tournament, the Challenge Cup, for the women's and men's divisions. Developments * The PSL is now sanctioned under the Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Inc. (LVPI), the newest governing body for volleyball in the Philippines under the leadership of POC 1st Vice President Joey Romasanta, aside for being recognized by the AVC and the FIVB. The PSL was first sanctioned by the Philippine Volleyball Federation (PVF) until the federation was stripped of its recognition by the local (POC) and foreign (FIVB, AVC) sport governing bodies.
