Alex Scales
Alexander Jerome Scales (born July 3, 1978) is a former American professional basketball player. Biography Born in Racine, Wisconsin, Scales attended Racine Lutheran High School. He played at the collegiate level at the University of Oregon. Scales played in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) for the Grand Rapids Hoops during the 2002–03 season and earned All-CBA Second Team honors. Scales has most recently played with Mersin Büyükşehir Belediyesi S.K. and Oyak Renault of the Turkish Basketball League, as well as BC Kyiv of the Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague and VTB United League. Previously, he was a member of the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association in 2005. That year, he was also a member of USA Basketball. Scales only played for a total of 9 seconds in the NBA when he was substituted at the very end of a game for Robert Horry on November 19th, 2005. The ''Racine Journal Times'' (since 1972 officially styled ''The Journal Times'') is an American daily newspaper published in Racine, Wisconsin. The paper serves the entire Racine County area. History The ''Journal Times'' traces its roots to the 1852 foundation of the ''Racine Weekly Journal'', which became a daily in 1856. FIBA EuroCup All-Star Day, or FIBA EuroChallenge All-Star Day, was the All-Star Game of the now defunct 3rd-tier level European-wide professional basketball league, the FIBA EuroChallenge tournament. It started in 2004 and lasted for 5 editions until 2008. The FIBA EuroCup All-Star Day was the first All-Star Game organised by FIBA since the FIBA EuroStars and after the 2000 conflict with ULEB which resulted in Euroleague's take over of the latter. Atléticos de San Germán is a basketball club of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) based in San Germán, Puerto Rico.
