Alex Gopher
Alexis Latrobe (), known professionally as Alex Gopher, is a French mastering engineer, electronic musician and producer. He worked as a sound engineer at Translab Studio, notably for Angèle, Clara Luciani, Lomepal, -M-, Mr. Oizo, Gesaffelstein and Etienne Daho. Latrobe has contributed a great amount to the French touch movement of the 1990s. Career Latrobe began his musical career playing bass in the band Orange with future Air members Jean-Benoît Dunckel and Nicolas Godin. After the group split, he began to create electronic music and embarked on a successful solo career. Latrobe's musical style mainly consists of sampling, along with recruiting vocal talent. His track "Brain Leech (Bugged Mind Remix)" has been featured in ''Grand Theft Auto IV'', playing on the Electro-Choc radio station. Demon (musician)
Jérémie Mondon, known by his stage name Demon, is a French electronic music producer, born in 1977 in Paris. His music comes under the genre known as French touch. Music career The start of Demon's career was particularly influenced by the hip hop movement and artists such as Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, Mobb Deep and A Tribe Called Quest. These artists heavily influenced his first recordings and he still has close ties to rap music, as he produces music for French rappers. Soon after his spell with hip-hop he joined the French electronic scene. In 1997 he created the label 20000ST, in order to produce his first EP, ''A-Typique''. At 22, he signed for Sony record label and recorded his first studio album, ''Midnight Funk'', considered by critics as one of the classic albums of French touch. "Black Capricorn Day" is the fifth and final single released by British funk and acid jazz band Jamiroquai from their fourth studio album, ''Synkronized''. The single was released in 2000 in Japan only (becoming the second Jamiroquai single to be released in that region exclusively), peaking at number 14 on the Japan Hot 100. Despite the single never being available in the UK, the music video was included on the British version of the ''High Times: Singles 1992–2006'' DVD. The single contained remixes of previous hits "Canned Heat" and "Supersonic" but no remixes of "Black Capricorn Day". Jamiroquai
Jamiroquai () are an English funk and acid jazz band from London. Formed in 1992, they are fronted by vocalist Jay Kay, and were prominent in the London-based funk and acid jazz movement of the 1990s. They built on their acid jazz sound in their early releases and later drew from rock, disco, electronic and Latin music genres. Lyrically, the group has addressed social and environmental justice. Kay has remained as the only original member through several line-up changes. The band made their debut under Acid Jazz Records but subsequently found mainstream success under Sony.
