Alex De Goti
Alexander De Goti (born August 19, 1994) is an American professional baseball infielder in the Minnesota Twins organization. The Astros drafted him in the 15th round of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft and he made his MLB debut in 2021. Career Houston Astros After attending Long Beach State University, De Goti was drafted in the 15th round of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft out of Barry University. De Goti made his professional debut in 2016 for the short-season Single-A Tri-City ValleyCats, and played 63 games for the club. In 2017, he split the majority of the season between the Single-A Quad Cities River Bandits and the advanced Single-A Buies Creek Astros, also appearing in 5 games for the Triple-A Fresno Grizzlies. The Sugar Land Space Cowboys are a Minor League Baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and the Triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros Major League Baseball club. They are located in Sugar Land, Texas, part of the Greater Houston metropolitan area, and play their home games at Constellation Field. The team began play as the Sugar Land Skeeters in 2012 as an expansion team of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB), an independent baseball league. They are located in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and play their home games at Segra Stadium. In the sport of baseball, a doubleheader is a set of two games played between the same two teams on the same day. Historically, doubleheaders have been played in immediate succession, in front of the same crowd. Contemporarily, the term is also used to refer to two games played between two teams in a single day in front of different crowds and not in immediate succession. For many decades, doubleheaders in Major League Baseball (MLB) were routinely scheduled numerous times each season.
