Alex Carter (British Actor)
Alex Carter (born 7 May 1982 in Oldham, Greater Manchester) is an English actor and writer, mostly known for his roles as Jamie Hope in ''Emmerdale'' and Lee Hunter in ''Hollyoaks''. Early life Carter's brother Bruce is in a band called The Whip and both Carters attended the Blue Coat School, Oldham. A lifelong fan of Oldham Athletic A.F.C., Carter presented the Saturday afternoon sports programme ''Latics Live'' on The Revolution between 2008–2011. Life and career After playing Greeny in CITV show Adam's Family Tree, in 1999 Carter was cast as Craig Harrison in Sunday evening drama '' Where the Heart Is''. He then joined the cast of ''Hollyoaks'' as Lee Hunter, staying for four years before his character left to embark on an around the world tour. He then joined ''Emmerdale'' on 16 February 2006 as Jamie Hope in the ITV soap ''Emmerdale''. Oldham
Oldham is a large town in Greater Manchester, England, amid the Pennines and between the rivers Irk and Medlock, southeast of Rochdale and northeast of Manchester. It is the administrative centre of the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, which had a population of 237,110 in 2019. Within the boundaries of the historic county of Lancashire, and with little early history to speak of, Oldham rose to prominence in the 19th century as an international centre of textile manufacture. ''How Not to Live Your Life'' (styled in the opening credits as "how NOT to live your life") is a British sitcom, written by and starring Dan Clark that aired between 27 September 2007 and 22 December 2011 on BBC Three, about a pessimistic twenty-nine-year-old man who is trying to navigate his way through life but is not helped by his bad instincts.
