Alessandro Sommella ( Napoli, Italy, 1956) is an Italian musician. He studied electric bass, guitar, violin and double bass. He played in London with the band Souled Out producing the album ''Shine On'', and later formed the band Planet Funk with whom he won a gold disc for the album ''Non Zero Sumness ''Non Zero Sumness'' is the debut album released by Planet Funk, also released a limited edition version of the album called ''Non Zero Sumness Plus One'', containing the bonus track "One Step Closer" sung by Jim Kerr, which is a vocal version of ...''. Planet Funk is an Italian electronic band. The group is composed of Marco Baroni, Domenico "GG" Calipari, Alex Neri, Dan Black and formerly Sergio Della Monica who died in February 2018. In addition a number of guest vocalists joined the group, including: Auli Kokko, Sally Doherty, Raiz, John Graham, Giuliano Sangiorgi and Alex Uhlmann. History Their first single, " Chase the Sun", reached number five on the UK Singles Chart in 2001. The melody is borrowed from Ennio Morricone's tune "Alla Luce Del Giorno", off the score of the 1969 film Metti, una sera a cena. The song has enjoyed a rise in popularity ever since Sky Sports began using it during its coverage of the Professional Darts Corporation's major tournaments. Souled Out (band)
Souled Out was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event promoted by World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in January from 1997 through 2000. The 1997 and 1998 WCW Souled Out PPV events were held on Saturdays due to the Super Bowl being played the next day, the 1999 and 2000 shows were held on Sundays. The event was originally conceived in 1997 as a New World Order (nWo) exclusive pay-per-view, but did not generate the revenue that WCW had hoped it would, due to a low buy rate and a lack of ticket revenue from hosting the event in such a small facility. The pay-per-view was also created as a testing nWo event in order to see if there was enough demand to having two PPVs per month (one as a WCW event and the other as an nWo event).
