Alen Pajenk (born 23 April 1986) is a Slovenian volleyball player who plays for Olympiacos Praeus and the Slovenia national team. With Slovenia, he was the runner-up of the European Volleyball Championship three times, in 2015, 2019 and 2021. Career Club In 2013, Pajenk moved to Jastrzębski Węgiel. In 2013–14, he reached the Final Four of the Champions League and won the bronze medal after defeating VC Zenit Kazan. Jastrzębski Węgiel, including Pajenk, also finished in third place in the Polish Championship during the same season. Maribor
Maribor ( , , , ; also known by other #Name, historical names) is the second-largest city in Slovenia and the largest city of the traditional region of Styria (Slovenia), Lower Styria. 2023 Men's European Volleyball Championship
The 2023 Men's European Volleyball Championship was the 33rd edition of the Men's European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, CEV. For the third time, the championship was held in four countries: Italy, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Israel. The top three teams of the tournament qualified for the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship as the CEV representatives, except Italy who had already qualified as the defending world champions. Poland won their second title after defeating hosts Italy 3–0 in the final. Wilfredo León was chosen as the MVP of the tournament. Turkish Men's Volleyball Cup
The Turkish Men's Volleyball Cup ( tr, Kupa Voley Erkekler) is a national cup competition for professional men's volleyball teams in Turkey, organised by the Turkish Volleyball Federation since the 1988–89 season. Between 2003 and 2007, the tournament was not held for four consecutive seasons. Most successful team of the competition are Halkbank with seven titles. 2013–14 CEV Champions League
The 2013–14 CEV Champions League was the 55th edition of the highest level European volleyball club competition organised by the European Volleyball Confederation. Participating teams League round 28 teams have been drawn to 7 pools of 4 teams each. In each pool, the competition is organised on the basis of a double round-robin system. Each team will thus play 6 matches: twice against each opponent. Points are awarded as follows: *3 points for a 3:0 or 3:1 victory; *2 points for a 3:2 victory; *1 point for a 2:3 defeat; *0 points for a 1:3 or 0:3 defeat. The Slovenia national men's volleyball team represents Slovenia in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches, and is governed by the Volleyball Federation of Slovenia.
